Am going to have to ask the policeman today what his feelings are about peas Grin

Did I mention that lovely man from last night bakes cakes? He offered to make one for me...he also said a couple of things like 'on our next date we can go to...' and then mentioned a couple of other places he wanted to take me to etc. I really really hope I hear from him.

mercury7 · 01/11/2012 12:18

worra bout lentils, they're a type of pea..I live on lentils
Now I'm confused as to which category I belong in Confused

Been chatting over skype to a bloke who has the exact same (very nice) accent as a man I'm currently having a thing with...I'm thinking if I could get something going with him too they'd sort of merge into one person.
Then it'd seem like one bloke but more frequently?

SlightlyConfusedAlwaysMad · 01/11/2012 12:20

Don't take any notice of him being quiet on the text front. You worried before the date and look what happened.

I on the other hand have received 55 messages today plus an request for another date next week but he won't tell me where too except I have to meet him in London at 6 and I have to dress to impress. Oh and he gave me a teddy bear last night Confused

hatesponge · 01/11/2012 12:23

He has now text me. But just asking how I am...

bantamrooster · 01/11/2012 12:51

Then tell him how you are, and you had a great time last night and your head still hurts but you're grinning. If he didn't like you he wouldn't ask how you are

SweetSeraphim · 01/11/2012 12:57

Bantam has it in one Grin

Ooh. I'm quite excited!

gettingitrightnow · 01/11/2012 12:58

55 messages!...where am i going wrong...none none none for me!

mercury7 · 01/11/2012 13:03

I've had 45 since 10.30 thismorning, but then I am on a 'casual' site :o

JoylessFucker · 01/11/2012 13:09

Awwww sponge how wonderfully normal. Am really really pleased to hear how well the date went last night and send positive vibes (seeing as we are getting all woo'd up) for the coffee date with the policeman this afternoon.

The only policeman I (ahem) knew was lovely: sweet, kind, made a great tiramisu and I felt utterly safe with him. It was just a pity that he wanted me to electrocute his genitals was more kinky than me Hmm

SlightlyConfusedAlwaysMad · 01/11/2012 13:16

Getting you can have mine if you want they all seem to be from weirdos or people to hook up. I've gone over my profile and can't see where it say's I'm easy or desperate!

SlightlyConfusedAlwaysMad · 01/11/2012 13:19

Joyless seriously? How would you even bring that up? 'hi darling I fancy something new tonight, how about you electrocute me'

JoylessFucker · 01/11/2012 13:27

Slightly he was my 'partner in crime' on a kinky journey and he was suggesting things he'd tried with previous partners and this was something he'd tried with someone who very into the BDSM scene. I think we (mutually) realised that our journey had reached an end ...

Shame - as his tiramisu was really excellent Grin

bantamrooster · 01/11/2012 13:34

joyless at least you can't say there was no spark. Ahahaha.

mercury7 · 01/11/2012 13:35

a preference for hook up's doesnt make you easy or desperate...

OhWesternWind · 01/11/2012 13:45

Slightly - 55 messages off the same person?

OhWesternWind · 01/11/2012 13:47

Sorry Sponge just wanted to say how really pleased I am that things went so well last night. Hope they do this afternoon too

Yogagirl17 · 01/11/2012 13:50

LOL Bantam!

and there was me thinking handcuffs and a blindfold were adventurous

OhWesternWind · 01/11/2012 14:33

Someone asked me to wee on his willy once.

I didn't.

smoothieooo · 01/11/2012 14:59

Good luck with coffee Sponge but rooting for your next date with Cuthbert!

I had a wink last night, followed seconds later by an email, followed moments later by an IM. Someone who lives a mere 5 miles from me... but Hideous man (both profile and photo).

I think I'll have to be happy with my nightly email exchanges with (too far away) Cambridge man which are chatty and pleasant but not in the least bit flirty. I was given the mobile no. for a nice looking guy I've been exchanging a couple of emails with but he's a bit me, me, meee. 'What did you like about my profile?' 'What drew you to my photo?' and responds quite vaguely to direct questions. He's had lots of crap dates with self-obsessed people who are not over their exes. Apparently.

It's just sometimes difficult to muster up the required enthusiasm.

DoingItForMyself · 01/11/2012 15:32

fuck a duck, I've only just caught up on the last thread and found this one, only to realise its already on p.15! Must check in more often.

Bantam your super expensive date didn't include cocktails at Paramount did it? Noticed mention of a 39th floor establishment. I was there on my dirty weekend with gorgeous POF bloke at the weekend, might have walked past you (I was the stunner in the black lace dress & shiny red shoes Wink )

bantamrooster · 01/11/2012 15:40

regarding the self obsession, that's one line I've always wanted to use on a date where it just obviously wasn't going anywhere.

'Listen to me, going on about myself all the time. Let's talk about you. What do you think about me?'

bantamrooster · 01/11/2012 15:54

doingIt - you spilled my mojito!

Not paramount no I don't think. A japanese cocktail bar near Liverpool St station.

smoothieooo · 01/11/2012 16:00

Sushisamba by any chance Bantam ?

bantamrooster · 01/11/2012 16:03

thats the one smoothie

hatesponge · 01/11/2012 16:05

Am back from coffee date with the policeman.

Do I like him? Yes he's clever and interesting. And he makes me laugh.

Do I fancy him? Yes. And the kissing was very good :)

Do I like or fancy him more than lovely cuthbert? No...
