Yay sponge Smile

bantamrooster · 01/11/2012 07:18

Is it too horribly American to say 'woot woot' sponge.

lubeybooby · 01/11/2012 07:27

Sponge yay :o

OP posts:
Yogagirl17 · 01/11/2012 07:31

Bantam I am American and I have never once said 'woot woot'. Hmm

bantamrooster · 01/11/2012 07:32

bantamrooster · 01/11/2012 07:37

FreudiansSlipper · 01/11/2012 07:48

Can I join

Just signed up, went on a few dates all ok but out of the loop for a bit looking forward to it :)

hatesponge · 01/11/2012 08:31

I have a shocking hangover.

He is lovely. He isn't posh at all, no idea why his parents stuck him with that name! I like him an awful lot.

He text me last night to thank me for a lovely evening and to say that he thinks I'm amazing.

I hope that's a good sign....

hatesponge · 01/11/2012 08:37

Oh and he signed that text with 5 x's.

I really hope he wants to see me again.

EiePie · 01/11/2012 08:39

Feeling sooo happy for you sponge!! Bask in the glow! x

lubeybooby · 01/11/2012 08:51

sponge I always took it as a good sign when I was complimented and thanked for the evening. The snogging sounds good too.

I'm glad you had a good evening - all other things aside, you deserve it!

SlightlyConfusedAlwaysMad · 01/11/2012 09:52

Yay sponge! After all that worrying aswell, sounds like a great night

StrictlyComeDancingDiva · 01/11/2012 09:53

De-lurking to add my yay for Sponge! Grin

bantam SurreyGirl has really got under your skin, hasn't she?! IME the distance thing is a nightmare. I managed a 2 year LDR thanks to meeting via OD. He was, and still is amazing. But it couldn't work. I have 3DC, he had 3DC and was primary carer. Our free time schedules barely matched. And re-locating wasn't an option either of us wanted to choose. So after a lot of soul-searching we agreed to go our separate ways. So, if you're looking long term, you'd need to know if either of you would move, or accept that it's just for some fun Smile.

hatesponge · 01/11/2012 10:41

Thanks for all the yays everyone :)

I've not heard from him this morning but he's not the most prolific texter so will try not to read anything into that. I honestly can't believe that having had such a great night that he won't contact me. Hopefully I'm not deluding myself.

In the meantime the policeman has just text to ask me for coffee this afternoon. I should go shouldn't I?

snapespeare · 01/11/2012 10:50

Yes, go! And have a nice deep calming breath re cuthbert. :)

bantamrooster · 01/11/2012 10:52

sponge - yes you should go, unless your hangover has you looking like Bride of Frankenstein.

Sounds like a great time last night - cool :) but no point counting chickens etc etc. You could suggest a pub crawl to Policeman, of course. They seem to work..

hatesponge · 01/11/2012 10:56

I have already agreed to meet the policeman! Just checking it was the right thing to do :)

Cuthbert (that's not actually his name I should add!) Is lovely though. He doesn't like peas either (what is it about the men I meet?!!)

lubeybooby · 01/11/2012 11:16

Sponge definitely go for coffee as well

and don't worry about the not texting - as proven when he was a bit quiet before the date, you went on to 1) have the date and he didn't cancel and 2) have a great time.

Relax and enjoy your coffee with policeman! :o

OP posts:
mercury7 · 01/11/2012 11:18

I'm not a fan of pea's either if the truth be told...sure it's a common dislike!
fab news on your date Sponge:o

snapespeare · 01/11/2012 11:40

I like peas. That's obviously why I am single..... Hmm.

Grin
faintheartneverwonfairdate · 01/11/2012 11:50

Yay Sponge! Great news and you'll be all glowy and fabulous when you meet the policeman Grin.
