my partner woke me up by having sex with me, I was really shocked at what was happening and not sure what to do or think about what has happened.
I told my friend but she just laughed about it, any advice? thanks.

yes, well done. But read my scenario. Is there consent or not?

Puffinsaresmall · 08/05/2012 14:16
Sad
imnotmymum · 08/05/2012 14:25

Look I guess I was saying that it totally depends on the relationship you have with partner and how you approach sex and are comfortable with things that are happening. Each person will have their own rules and I would nit say for one minute this was rape unless there was a non-equalness in their relationship.

garlicbutty · 08/05/2012 14:26

Betty, you seem to think different rules apply to sex than to other physical interactions. I don't. If I'm giving you a massage and find a deeply knotted muscle, I'd say "This might hurt, do you want me to keep working on it?" If you say Yes, give it a go, and a few minutes later go "Ow! Stop that please!" I would immediately stop.

  1. You consented to my manipulating your body in the expected manner of a massage therapist.
  2. You consented to a potentially uncomfortable manipulation.
  3. You withdrew consent and I am bound to respect you.

The same rules do apply, you know.

WorriedBetty · 08/05/2012 14:27

Yes I know.

garlicbutty · 08/05/2012 14:30

imnotmymum - OP insists on contraception, but his partner went ahead and did it without protection. She later laughed at him and refused to take a MAP.

Do you still think it's all about being irresistible?

imnotmymum · 08/05/2012 14:34

"imnotmymum - OP insists on contraception, but his partner went ahead and did it without protection. She later laughed at him and refused to take a MAP." Is the OP male? Did not realise then no she is a psycho ! I was relating to the fact in anormal relationship sex is an extension of love and desire.

BIWItheBold · 08/05/2012 14:36

Read the fucking thread people.

BIWItheBold · 08/05/2012 14:37

... especially when it's such a sensitive issue.

imnotmymum · 08/05/2012 14:38

I will read the thread did not know threads could fuck though !

BIWItheBold · 08/05/2012 14:39

Hilarious.

NarkedPuffin · 08/05/2012 14:39

If you want to be treated like a blow up doll that's your choice, but in my relationships I've always been conscious during sex. I don't wish to be treated as a wank sock by someone who is supposed to love and respect me.

If someone did not like it then not great.

No, if someone did not want it, it's rape.

Consent for other people isn't based on what you consider normal in your relationship.

imnotmymum · 08/05/2012 14:48

But I do not see what I was describing as rape if my DH fancies some night time action ?? And I am 36 so very close Puffin. However I have noted that this is different and posted thus so very sorry.
Am trying to read the whole thread

ABatInBunkFive · 08/05/2012 14:49

'Consent for other people isn't based on what you consider normal in your relationship.'

Thank fuck for that!

OhChristFENTON · 08/05/2012 14:50

I don't know which is more worrying, not reading the thread or to be more 'cool with it' when you assumed a man had done this to a woman Confused

Actually, I do know..

imnotmymum · 08/05/2012 14:52

Not that part if a woman did this to man then ok if that is what they are like in their sexual relationship, I referred to "psycho" as she was deliberatly trying to get pregnant and laughed in his face !!

ABatInBunkFive · 08/05/2012 14:54

It was clear from the OP that they were not happy with it. Confused

I am totally Shock that people are making jokes and inventing scenarios that have nothing to do with the OP on a rape thread! It that OK because it was a "only" bloke (and he MUST have secret loved it, cos men do, don't they)?

lucyellensmumnamechange · 08/05/2012 15:02

Has this not self destructed yet? Im not entirely sure if this was a genuine OP (apologies if it is) But just someone making a point actually.
