One Night Stands - have you ever?

Have you ever had a One Night Stand? I don't mean a one-nighter with somebody you're already friends with etc. But have you ever gone out to a club, bar or wherever, met a complete and utter stranger and gone home with him and shagged him?

I've never had the bottle to do this. Not sure I've even really had the desire to do it.

Oh, yes I have. In fact, thanks for starting this thread because it has reminded me of a very fine night, many many years ago.

So. I went to a club with some friends. There was a very good looking bloke there. I went up to him and said "You are by far the best looking man here. Can I come home with you?" (I kid you not). He said "You are by far the best looking girl here. And yes you can" (this was the best possible response I thought).

So we did. and it was great. and he tried to call me afterwards but I never returned his calls :)

Garlic I can well believe your comment about post menopause. I think I'm just starting mine and feel like I've got my mojo back. Horrendous for two out the four weeks but otherwise DH doesn't know what's hit him

No, never seen the appeal. Mind you I am very private about my body--anyone I like the look of has to earn the priviledge to get to know me on an intimate basis. I had plenty of boyfriends at college and uni but I never felt an urge to do anything overly intimate with them. The only person who has had that pleasure has been my DH

Karmak, I have. Went without sex for a long, long time and it became an issue for me when I was considering dating again. (Had a couple of operations and was actually quite concerned that I didn't "work" properly!) So, I'm pragmatic. Logged on line and lined a few up. For me, it was a means to an end. I had a few really good experiences and my sexual confidence has grown as a result.

Not everyone's cup of tea, I know but I took reasonable steps to keep myself safe and to ensure, as far as I could that they were not attached already.

Yes, loads when I was younger & single. Glad I'm married now obviously but I never had a bad experience & enjoyed myself quite a bit on the way to meeting DH. Happy Memories

Yes, lots and lots when I was younger. Drink was nearly always a factor.

I don't know what I think about it now. It was just something that happened.

I'm not sure if I regret it or not.

I wouldn't want to have a one night stand now - although, to be fair, no one is exactly offering!
