That's nuts right? I've only been with this guy for 7/8 weeks ffs. He's just left mine to go to work and I got a bit sad (I hid it well) that he was leaving. He's just text saying "hated saying goodbye baby, can I come over again tonight? I'll cook". I know it's crazy but I really think I'm in love with this guy but I don't know why to do about it, I don't want to freak him out. Think I've just answered my own question haven't I? Just shut up! :-(

No it's not nuts (unless you have a history of falling in and out of love on a regular basis).

I'd keep schtum for now though and let it play out, and enjoy the moment!

I was with my ex for 3years but we broke up 2years ago. Aside from the odd date in between, this is the first guy I've reallllly liked. Blush

Falling in love is fun. Crushes put a twinkle in your eye. The first few weeks of a new relationship are always the best. You don't have to 'do' anything about it. Sit back and enjoy the adoration. :)

Enjoy!!

Nice to see a nice hopeful thread on here for a change! Good luck! :)

Lifeissweet · 15/03/2012 12:55

My DP told me he loved me after 3 weeks. He said he'd wanted to tell me after 2. I was a bit surprised, but it was brilliant and made me SO happy. We have a baby now! It's not necessarily nuts. You feel what you feel.

fabwoman · 15/03/2012 12:57

I knew after 2 months Grin.

We have been married for 12 years and together 16.

It can work.

Enjoy it! Grin

DinahMoHum · 15/03/2012 13:35

i knew after about a month. DP said he knew straight away, but didnt tell me for a couple of weeks

Mumofjz · 15/03/2012 13:40

that's lovely, enjoy it and he obviously feels strongly for you too :)

COCKadoodledooo · 15/03/2012 14:17

Dh and I were engaged 7 weeks after our first date. We have been married 14 years this June Grin

I am excited for you first1!

first1 · 15/03/2012 15:44

Aw thanks all! This is new to me. I'm not use to a "nice guy". I usually attract the weirdos and dickheads!

I met dh on the Friday and spent the next few days thibnking id finally lost it as i felt sick without him and worried I was going to get extremely hurt.He told me the following Friday that he felt the same and even considered not seeing me again as he was so totally love struck. We had separate holidays booked a few weeks later and hated them (he flew out to Ibiza to see me for 3 days)We tried not to rush it cos we are far from kids but we just couldnt be apart. We have been together 5 years and have dd who is 1.I can honestly say we stil feel exactly the same about each other and only ever have minor disagreements never had a "row"

Go for it trust your insincts.

first1 · 15/03/2012 16:14

Some lovely stories on here Smile
He just rung saying he's going to leave work early and not watch Man U (!!) coz he can't wait to see me Grin. That means he'll be here in less than two hours. Soo excited I feel like I'm 15!!

Kayzr · 15/03/2012 16:16

I felt like that almost straight away and DP said he did too.
We get married in 3 weeks Grin

COCKadoodledooo · 15/03/2012 18:15

Jeez he must be in love if he's prepared to ditch the footie for you Grin Have fun!

MrsMeow · 15/03/2012 18:20

I told my now DH that I loved him after one week :) I was 17 and he was 20. We've been together for 15 years this winter, married for 11.

Sometimes you just know :) I wish you both all the best!

fabwoman · 15/03/2012 18:50

I also had a few wrong uns and knew pretty quick with dh. I appreciated him more after the idiots and doormats that had gone before...

SirSugar · 15/03/2012 18:57

I knew there was something special about DP when I first met him 26 years ago. Due to commitments on both sides it took a further 24 years for us to be able to be together. He was always stood out from all other men in my life.

Thanks for info on what we will be watching on TV tonight Grin

pictish · 15/03/2012 18:59

Just be careful OP. x

lazarusb · 15/03/2012 19:05

Enjoy. Dh and I fell for each the first time we met although I resisted it as much as possible. But I loved falling in love with him. We still text all the time when we're apart and look forward to seeing each other. Have fun!

susiedaisy · 15/03/2012 19:23

What a lovely thread, hope it all works out well for you opSmile

HotBurrito1 · 15/03/2012 19:43

DH and I said we loved each other at 2 weeks. 17 years later we still do Grin

therumoursaretrue · 15/03/2012 19:53

I knew I loved DP almost straight away! As silly as it sounds, our first date ended with 3 hours of cuddling and chatting in his car before he drove me home :) and I just had this feeling that I wouldn't be cuddling this random guy if it wasn't something special! :o

I was completely and utterly head over heels and considering moving home from uni to make a proper go of it at about 7/8 weeks too, but didn't tell him till 5 months in that I loved him. If your worried about scaring him off maybe wait a while too, but only you will really know the right time.

Enjoy it OP :)

FuriousRox · 15/03/2012 20:01

Good for you, OP. Don't go rushing in, just enjoy it!
DH and I knew each other for ages and I always really liked him, but within a few days weeks of actually dating, I was really in love. It took several months for me to be drunk brave enough to say so, but I knew he felt the same.
Aw, isn't love great?
Now I show my undying adoration by nagging him to take out the rubbish and plucking out his unruly old-man eyebrow hairs. Ah, love love love...

therumoursaretrue · 15/03/2012 20:05

Think I was slightly intoxicated the first time I told DP too furious!
