We have lots of songs that are special "Wish you were here" by Pink Floyd and "Hello" by Lionel Ritchie (from two pretty special moments when we were getting together) but "Love will keep us alive" by the Eagles was the song we danced to at our wedding. The words describe exactly what we were feeling when we met and fell in love. Can't listen to it without crying.

lucy5 · 26/01/2006 07:58

Dony really have one in particular but songs that remind me of getting together with dh are Squeeze box- The Who , Lets spend the night together-The Rolling Sones and I am a walrus- The beatles. No I didnt meet dh in the 60s but the 80's and we were both mad about 60s music. Also anything by The Jam. You can see which way my musical taste is leaning

NeverSayNever · 26/01/2006 08:27

Oh Tamba we got married to Amazed by Lonestar. so our fav to.

brimfull · 26/01/2006 08:35

the one that makes us both smile and remember days before kids

Romeo and Juliet by Dire Straits

Pfer · 26/01/2006 08:42

Wishing Well - Free.

Our first lustful eye contact. His over his dust mask at my singing away at the top of my tuneless voice - we were the only 2 out of about 50 people at work that were singing.

Rhubarb · 26/01/2006 08:44

Creep by Radiohead is one we both sing out loud to.
Breakfast at Tiffanys is one that was on the radio constantly when we were dating.
Yellow by Coldplay was on when dd was born.
The Cranberries were playing when ds was born.

FrannytheQuinoaEater · 26/01/2006 10:30

When we were courting dp was hundreds of miles away and our song was "Come Up and See Me, Make Me Smile".

Now, "La Femme d'Argent" by Air.

Flamesparrow · 26/01/2006 10:35

Ash - Girl From Mars

oh, and Offspring - Self Esteem (not the most flattering song when looked at from the girl's pov!!!! )

harpsichordcarrier · 26/01/2006 10:38

franny
"courting"
it sounds like a Thomas Hardy novel
with a soundtrack by Steve Harley, in a post modern way

bundy · 26/01/2006 10:48

I WILL
(the Beatles version with clippy cloppy hooves)

Who knows how long I?ve loved you.
You know I love you still.
Will I wait a lonely lifetime
If you want me to ? I will.

For if I ever saw you
I didn?t catch your name.
But it never really mattered
I will always feel the same.

Love you forever and forever.
Love you with all my heart.
Love you whenever we?re together.
Love you when we?re apart.

And when at last I find you
Your song will fill the air
Sing it loud so I can hear.
Make it easy to be near you
For the things you do endear me to you
O, you know I will.
I will.

NomDePlume · 26/01/2006 10:52

We don't have a 'song'

wessexgirl · 26/01/2006 10:53

Into My Arms by Nick Cave. Would have liked it played at our wedding but weren't allowed as it has the word 'God' in it, bah!
