he has been texting some friends, some female. one has feelings for him (i told him this months ago and to stop texting her). she thinks they are having some sort of txt affair. he says no way and she is just a friend. they havent seen each other for over 10years, she cant visit as she is epileptic and cant drive, her dh wouldnt drive her anyway. she is having marriage probs as well. just feel like hitting dh over the head for being so stupid.

oh blimey. At least you know the 'affair' is total BS, and well done to Peter for being upfront with you about it. He must get awfully bored in that hospital all day, every day, I can see how he would text a lot (in a non-sinister, friendly way, of course). I would suggest that he outs this woman straight on their 'relationship' and lets her know that a) she has no hope in hell of bagging him and b) it would be better if they ceased all contact now, before things get out of control (on her side of things).

NomDePlume · 12/01/2006 10:48

'puts' not 'outs', I'm always doing that !

misdee · 12/01/2006 10:51

thats what i have told him, and he has told her he is happily married and there isnt a hope in hell (serves her right for dumping him when they were 16 lol, he is mine now!), she sent a txt last night to him saying not to feel guilty and that s(me) doesnt need to know. he says he sent one back saying that i know everything any way lol.

i know where she works, so should i go see her? (tescos?)

god, she's got some gall ! TBH, I wouldn;t go and see her, I'd just make sure peter deleted her number from his phone having told her that he is going to cut contact because she has got the wrong end of a very long stick and is getting out of hand.

Aloha · 12/01/2006 10:54

No, I wouldn't. It's not like she can jump on him and have her wicked way, is it? I'd leave it, and just make it clear to Peter that it would be cruel to encourage her when she's having marriage problems.
Can see why he's been texting a lot though. Must be very boring for him.

misdee · 12/01/2006 10:55

tbh i dont know if he will cease contact. i want him to, but i think she is v persitant and he is v bored and will txt back just for a chat. tho i could edit her number........

he just wanted to help her and be someone who culd listen to her marriage probs, but my god, she could be a bunny boiler couldnt she? she sounds mad to me.

Marina · 12/01/2006 10:56

I'd steer clear of her misdee, she's obviously a very sad and disturbed person. So sorry you have this to contend with though.
Good that Peter told you all about this.

misdee · 12/01/2006 10:56

i have told him off for messing up her mind.

I would get dh a new phone, transfer his contacts for him, ommiting this womans and dispose of the old phone, that we ha cant contact her and she can contact him... or is that too controlling?

misdee · 12/01/2006 10:58

too controlling, and its a contract phone.

misdee · 12/01/2006 11:01
