Hello ladies, I am currently dating through POF and Match.Com. I have been officially single for 7 months now after ending a long drawn out shitty relationship. So it's been nice getting out and about and having some fun, in general that is, not just through dating.

I have had 3 dates so far but met no one I fancy snogging yet! I am definitely due a snog soon, but quite happy to wait for a good un :)

Thanks, guess there maybe a few more dodgy dates first though? But I am getting used to it now and try and see the funny side. It's great reading through all your stories and knowing I am not alone in the strange world of internet dating.

yeah I'm a bit but he says he had a battle with pof to get it reinstated and that it's taken this long for them to do so...I dunno.

I think the funny side is the way to go Trinab...I see it as a bit of light (if sadistic) entertainment, kind of a filler for when I feel like tooling around on the internet.

The POF hacked guy may have just been too busy to chase up his account, I sometimes dont bother to log into accounts for a week or so.

Then again do POF accounts really get hacked, what would the hacker do/why would they bother?

Freakoid If his account had to be reinstated then it must have been deleted by POF and if that was the case then he would no longer have had the message containing your number. I think he is a fibber!

Yup he is bullshitting. Hacking is actually rare, normally it's just having a stupidly easy password and it doesn't take two weeks to sort that.

hmm, I seem to remember warnings on POF that your account will get deleted if you post naked pictures, or pictures that in someway violate the rules.

Perhaps he was just unable to fight the urge to photograph his genitals??

Asked him how exactly it got hacked and he said
'think someone just changed the password as a couple of messages were sent out while I was away and I couldn't log in when I got back. No more messages were sent but getting it reset was a bit of a nightmare, pof didn't believe I was me so I was stuck until they realised the account wasn't getting used.'

Then said he's been busy with work and was away at the weekend at a wedding.

I'm not 100% convinced but think maybe I should give him the benefit of the doubt...the whole online dating thing makes me more suspicious than I used to be! Any hint of messing me around and that would be it though, I'm on guard now.

Hi Zany Sorry to hear the DC's are ill. I started filling DD full of vitamins as soon as Autumn arrived so I'm hoping we escape all the lurgyness this year. How is Mr Yacht?

They are not too ill, I think a cold mixed in with Schoolitus. Things going really well with Mr Yacht (although may have done something a little foolish) and he is meeting my DC's this Saturday for a dog walk.
