Yes shiney that's the sensible thing to do. You could have some fun first though if you like, set up a fake profile or get a friend to do it and contact him, see if he takes the bait! Grin

Mmm, not sure about that Make, it does seem a bit strange that he would go to all that trouble and travel all that distance when you have offered to call on him. What the heck difference does it make that he has a new flat mate moving in? I presume they won't be sharing a room Hmm Life as he knows it should not have to change because his flat mate does.

I'm sorry to be asking this but, he's not married or cohabiting is he??

Makeyerowndamndinner · 27/10/2011 17:00

I'm positive he's not married. I've been to his flat and he's communicating with me every night, and he's also discussed his relationship history with me quite openly. He's only in his early thirties. He says he just feels we'll have more privacy if he comes to mine as his new flatmate is only just moving in and I can see what he means - might be a bit awkward.

It does seem a lot of trouble to be going to though...

TimeForMeIsFree · 27/10/2011 17:09

I'm not sure Make. An eight hour round trip just for a shag seems a bit excessive just for a shag. I think if he was that much of a sex fiend he wouldn't care that he had a new flatmate, he would just be getting on with it. Does he seem the sensitive type to you? What's your gut feeling on it all?

You don't have to say yes to him, you can tell him you are seeing your friends anyway and tell him you will meet him for dinner, see what his response is.

Makeyerowndamndinner · 27/10/2011 17:21

Yeah, maybe it's too soon for him to come to my home eh? I've only met him the once.

And an eight hour round trip to spend one or two nights with me does seem a little over the top. Not even I'm that hot Wink

TimeForMeIsFree · 27/10/2011 17:32

I'm sure you are!! Smile

My advice would be to do whatever you feel comfortable with. Obviously you have some doubts/reservations or you wouldn't be questioning it. Don't lower your standards just to keep a bloke happy or interested. If he doesn't like that you don't want him to come to your home just yet then he isn't the man you thought he was. Plus, it would be a bit off of him to be more considerate of his new flatmate than he is of you.

Makeyerowndamndinner · 27/10/2011 18:00

Thanks Time. Think maybe I just need to take a step back and have a little think about what's for the best and what I want.

Going out with a friend to our book group tonight so there won't be any texting from him to distract me.

Zanywany · 27/10/2011 18:03

It doesn't sound as thouh he just wants sex Make as he could just encourage you to go to his for that, I first thought he was married but if he communicates at all times of the day then it sounds unlikely. Somethin is makin you feel unsure though so go with your gut instinct. Do you like him/want to see him again? If so suggest going to his again.

Think its time for a chat with him Shine, don't think I would be happy if I saw someone lots of times and they loged on but if you haven't talked about being exclusive then maybe he is just window shopping

ike1 · 27/10/2011 18:11

Hellooo back on the ol dating site thang having just dumped ex again. Had a corker of a convo this afters. So whats your views on casually sex then???quoth he, after a previously ok chat the day before. Strung him along not answering question cos I was a bit bored, only to be told I did not appear cool anymore when I wouldnt drop knicks immediately.

This from a guy who said he wanted a relationship on his profile. When I pointed this out to him, it was of course everyone else who was incapable of a relationship on the site not him so he couldnt be arsed anymore!! God its a right ol carry on dontcha think?

V quick update from me (as need to go back and try and catch up on everyone's news!) date tomorrow night is on with sexting man (who is actually being fairly ok now aside from the odd dodgy comment). We had a little chat today on the phone and he seems alright, not bf material but I think he's a laugh. my best mate lives about 5-10 mins away from where we're going out, so if he gives me any hassle I'm under instruction to call her! I do still strongly suspect that he is expecting hoping for a shag, but then if I actually fancy him in the flesh I may well be up for that too. So no biggie.

Hence why I have spent 2 hours tonight cleaning my house.

Sods law he won't fancy me Grin

ike1 · 27/10/2011 21:58

Sure he will fancy u Sponge (what's not to like?) If there is no action at least the house is sorted for a bit! Lol.

hatesponge · 27/10/2011 22:17

this is my thought exactly - house is cleaner than it has been for ages, have even hoovered behind and underneath things Grin so even if we don't fancy each other, I can enjoy my lovely clean house til sun by when it will probably be a pigsty again

ike1 · 27/10/2011 22:24

Ha! He may be a fluff inspector! Lol enjoy your lovely clean house and a bit of frisson (I hope!)

hatesponge · 27/10/2011 22:34

lol at fluff inspector! Years ago (pre DC) I brought a guy I'd been seeing back to mine, as we sat down on the sofa he glanced at the carpet and said 'do you actually own a hoover?' Blush was mortified...

ike1 · 27/10/2011 22:37

Yes Ill be hoovering the carpet on yr tongue you effer..(and not in a sexy way) lol the cheek!!

Zanywany · 27/10/2011 22:38

Hi ike1, typical bloke that he wants a relationsahip until he is in one.

I suspect tha cleaning your house involves clean sheets sponge Grin

I'm getting excited/nervous about my dinner date with Mr yacht, worried he is going to cancel or that he will decide that he doesn't actually like me :-(

PoppaRob · 27/10/2011 23:07

Relax zany! You're gorgeous, witty and fun - what's not to like? Confidence girl! Wink

You're all gorgeous, witty and fun, but my comment was directed to zany. Call me superficial but to me she's the second most gorgeous woman on these threads! Blush
