a female that my husband works with sent him a text and ended it with "oops you nearly got a kiss at the end of that!"
haven't let on I have seen it.
what do you think?

To be honest, I've almost put kisses on the end of texts before now. I've even put them at the end of an email to my Head of Section (that had other people copied in). I have to remind myself 'don't put kisses, don't put kisses.....'

QuelleLeJeff · 08/03/2011 13:52

About what?

Anniegetyourgun · 08/03/2011 13:53

But saying so to the recipient, Iklboo?

iskra · 08/03/2011 13:54

I ALWAYS put kisses on by mistake.

Unless there is more you are not mentioning I think you are really, really worrying unneccessarily.

ilovetheshops · 08/03/2011 13:55

it was a text with regards to work, she didn't put a kiss so why say it?

OP posts:
emmyloopsyloo · 08/03/2011 13:56

Na, she may have done it as an oversight, or nearly did, then laughed, especially if she texts her dh lot.

My dh got a xxxxx message the other day from his male boss.........he also text his male colleague "I LOVE YOU XXXX" It was meant for me........lots of jokes made about that on the w/end.

I've done it loads before, mis sent texts.

ilovetheshops · 08/03/2011 13:58

she hasn't got a DH or even a Bf at the moment...umhhhh

OP posts:
TragicallyHip · 08/03/2011 14:00

She probably thought it was funny and told. If you had anything to worry about she just would have put the kiss anyway!

TragicallyHip · 08/03/2011 14:00

told him

Iklboo · 08/03/2011 14:00

Yes, I have sent a text back to someone saying 'you're lucky you didn't get a kiss at the end of that, I don't know where my brain is today'

noyoucant · 08/03/2011 14:02

What were the circumstances around you actually seeing the message, especially if your husband isn't aware that you've read it?

ilovetheshops · 08/03/2011 14:03

thanks may just me!!!

OP posts:
OliPolly · 08/03/2011 14:03

I think its harmless, like someone said upthread, she probably saw the funny side of ot when she nearly put the kiss in.

ilovetheshops · 08/03/2011 14:04

sorry I mean maybe just me

OP posts:
QuelleLeJeff · 08/03/2011 14:12

I finished a phone call at work saying "Ok, goodbye Darling, OH GOD I JUST CALLED YOU DARLING! HAHAHAHA......I don't want to marry you or anything...HAHAHA...BYE THEN, LOVE YOU!"

I didn't fancy him, he doesn't fancy me, it was a cock up. (no pun intended)

atswimtwolengths · 08/03/2011 14:51

But if you nearly put a kiss in a text, wouldn't you just laugh to yourself then press Send? How long does it take to tap out "Oops nearly sent you a kiss there"?

I'd watch her, if I were you!

OliPolly · 08/03/2011 14:53

well 'watching' her will just make you more paranoid than you already are!

ilovetheshops · 08/03/2011 14:54

That is what made me ask the question as from a female point of view I think it does sound a bit flirty!I wouldn't but that in a text to any of the guys i work with unless I was being that way

OP posts:
ilovetheshops · 08/03/2011 14:55

not sure of parinos is the right word, just sounded a little warning bell

OP posts:
ilovetheshops · 08/03/2011 14:56

"if paranoid"-must learn to mutitask better!

OP posts:
coffeeinbed · 08/03/2011 14:56

This actually is a lot more flirty than just putting and x at the end.
But watching? I don't know...
I would't be comfortable checking texts TBH.

Cretaceous · 08/03/2011 14:58

Maybe she sent him a txt with a kiss on previously by mistake?

ilovetheshops · 08/03/2011 15:01

no me neither to checking texts as i had borrowed the phone as couldn't find mine.I don't even think he gave it a second thought as he surely would have deleted it??
I should have said something about it at the time but it is a couple of days on now.
I have a gut feeling that she is flirting

OP posts:
OliPolly · 08/03/2011 15:01

How would you 'watch' her anyway?

ilovetheshops · 08/03/2011 15:03

not actually "watch",just a turn of phrase i guess.
maybe a kick up the bum to make a bit more of an effort with my relationship.....
