A thread I was on last night made me finally realise that the ridiculously-ballsy caricature of a reputation that goes before
this name was devaluing the message I was trying to convey. It was the gaslighting one, FWIW, but this isn't really about that.

I am not going anywhere, I love MN too much but AF has to go

Just wanted to get it off my chest, and hopefully stop the "where is AF" speculation that sometimes can go along with a prolific poster suddenly stopping posting.

I was CainInThePunt for a long time and was comfortable as her, I think I gave a fairly true representation of myself as her but having been forced to change I have struggled to sit with a persona so although it has been ok with me, I know that my confident-I-have-been-here-for-a-while-and-dont-give-a-shit attitude may create somehting of a 'fuck you' persona for everyone else who not 'knowing' me expect a newbie attitude.

I am pleased for you that you were able to make the decision for yourself. Look forward to seeing you around AnyFucker. I wish I had been allowed to make the decision for myself instead of being railroaded.

Aitch Mumsnet felt that my reference to the cunt word was a 'step too far' yes there are about another four posters with cunt referenced names but Aitch took exception to me and had her cronies complain, she decided I was a daily mail reader (Despite having never bought the paper). I was threatened with namechanging or banning.

I did refuse for a while, explained my position etc but was give and ultimatum eventually.

Its very unfair but I have a spreadsheet mental note of the other posters who use cunt referenced names and I will return as CITP at some point as there really is no justification for my threatened banning.

I have noted the other cunting referenced posters and found them very entertaining and contributory posters as I felt CITP was.

I think it was about Aitch using her clout as the roundup contributor. Her comments at the time made it clear it was about her prejudice.

I have a lot of stuff going on in real life so as soon as I have nothing better to do in real life I will take up the challenge on Mumsnet.

Actually I have gotten disillusioned with Mumsnet of late so the threat of banning doesn't have the same clout it once did.
