Is it me or is Rob Brydon just not doing it for you on ISIHAC?

I've really stuck it out listening to him in the chair but he's just not doing it for me. I wish they'd take him off. He's ruining it for me!

Oh thank you, thready

Threadworm2 · 26/07/2009 23:00

(I'm sure the '...our' spellings grate as much to Americans as the '...or' spellings grate to Brits. Neither is better of course.)

Threadworm2 · 26/07/2009 23:02

It is so easy to segue from David Mitchell to pedantry, isn't it.

I was just pondering how distainful he would be of policywonk's OMG.

Um, yes, British is better, it's OUR sodding language and these rascally rebels should not be able to make off with it and do what they want with it.

Unless they are called Ombama, of course, am very happy with anything he chooses to do with the English language. SO lovely to have a gifted orator as leader of the Western World.

Ponders · 26/07/2009 23:05

is that like umbongo, edam?

AitchTwoOh · 26/07/2009 23:06

they drink it in the congo.

walking on sunshine, thready?

Threadworm2 · 26/07/2009 23:09

His choice of music is big pants-- a knowing assault on the concept 'cool'

edam · 26/07/2009 23:10

oops! I make so many ruddy typos all over MN these days, am going to have to slink away from Pedants' Corner.

Have got Walking on Sunshine on in the background thanks to that link. Always lifts my mood.

AitchTwoOh · 26/07/2009 23:11

acker bilk?

ilovemydogandmrobama · 26/07/2009 23:11

Obama for Chair!

Threadworm2 · 26/07/2009 23:12

kermit the frog is his number one choice for the desert island

Threadworm2 · 26/07/2009 23:13

God I am listening to him now on the subject of clothes and I think he is me.

AitchTwoOh · 26/07/2009 23:14

what is kirsty talking about, he just sounds like a normal person... i never was interested in cool, still amn't.

AitchTwoOh · 26/07/2009 23:39

just listened to it, he did seem nice. shame about the freaky chocolatey eyes.

AitchTwoOh · 26/07/2009 23:40

and also... i LOVED marion and keith. nothing since, right enough, but if i'd made that show i'd die happy.

AitchTwoOh · 26/07/2009 23:40

hang on, was that the name of that show? it looks funny.

AitchTwoOh · 26/07/2009 23:41

geoff. that's the fella.

policywonk · 26/07/2009 23:41

Well the music certainly was knowingly uncool (although has reminded me that Walking on Sunshine is quite good for running to).

Thanks for that Thready, it had been annoying me all weekend!

TsarChasm · 26/07/2009 23:48

I rather like Rob Brydon on ISIHAC. Jack Dee too.

Not Stephen Fry though. I've gone right off him actually. He's overdoing the whole 'Stephen Fry National Treasure Inc' thing now.

ssschluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurp.

that's what it would sound like, being kissed by DM.

Threadworm2 · 27/07/2009 06:37

Look, what is so bad about large brown eyes?

Have to say that none of them really hit the spot for me. I prefered Jack Dee but I think they're all good guests rather than the host.

Think the John Sargent idea is interesting.
