Thank you, @PseudoBadger, for kicking off this long, long series of Archers threads.

All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed, and of course we are always delighted to welcome back former or occasional listeners/posters. We don't all agree on all points, although we do mostly try to be civil about it. Most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you'd love to administer Bert's mucus medicine, or other unusual views.

There's a fair amount of stuff going on at the moment but I don't feel inspired to say anything more about any of it for now. Over to you - I hope you all have more enthusiasm than I do!

Yes, ages ago. I think it was about November. The baby is called Peggy, or Peg.

Keira's voice is awful.

I think Keira should die by throttling. She is 100% ghastly know-all teenager, with no redeeming features that I can detect. Not a listener in the land would convict whoever can be persuaded to do it.

We could make a list and share them out.

Keira is awful but we've had hints before that she's unpopular at school and now she's fallen out with Amber and Kalil.
Perhaps a trail is being laid for an eating disorder or self harming?

Ruth is a weirdo! I hate her ‘sympathetic’ voice so much. It was all about her as usual.

Harrison is a dimwit. Lily was running rings round him. What a pair! Harrison was always said to be very attractive, and Lily is bored and not a very nice person, so it’s quite a believable story. Can’t wait for Jolene’s reaction.

Im amazed that Argentine tango in the village hall is so popular. Who is the teacher I wonder.

It was in the community centre I think, where the heck is that? Not Ambridge I presume if there is a tapas place on hand.

No, they closed that loophole about 10 years ago so that time in custody doesn't count towards the time you're banned from driving.

Ohh yes. I have twice had siblings with different mums and the same Dad in my class. It happens.

I've seen this. It didn't make me think particularly highly of their dad.

After all, every single "second family" mess-up is quite likely to be rooted in male lack of continence.

In the first case two half brothers both knew he was their dad but he saw more of one than the other. The less favoured one used to see the 'dad' pick up his brother after school but not him. The other pair were boy and girl siblings who didn't know. Their mums waited for them after school standing back to back studiously ignoring each other. The two children really got on well, though, so I wondered if it would lead to issues later when they were teenagers.

Plenty of scope for drama in the Archers.

I've heard of a primary school class with 2 (almost) identical boys in it. Same father, different mothers.

Lily was really over-egging the angst given it was just a kiss. Surprised they held back after that lead-in.

Physical geography stuck best. I am still very pleased when I spot a corrie or a U-shaped valley formed by a glacier

Same here, @Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g. I volunteer at a house museum and a particular painting shows a house in a beautiful U-shaped glaciated valley in Scotland. When I'm whiling away the boredom on a cross trainer I watch the videos and intone "terminal moraine, lateral moraine". I like the Hawaiian ones, too so I can go on about the lava.

Well it looks like H and L thought better of it, so let’s hope no babies just yet.

I sense that Lily is restless and bored. And suffocated by everything being so interconnected. Everyone knows everyone. Maybe this will prompt her to go travelling again or make a move away from Ambridge.

Why did she tell Rex? They are not exactly besties. I suppose she had to tell
someone and both her housemates are currently in the silo. Surely she would have shared this gossip with Freddie? Or is that too loaded given the arrest?
