All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed, and of course we are always delighted to welcome back former or occasional listeners/posters. We don't all agree on all points, although we do mostly try to be civil about it. Most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you'd love to administer Bert's mucus medicine, or other unusual views.

I thought Rex was a bit insensitive re telling Chris that he was reading Martha a bed time story when he’s literally just moved in. Chris took it well but he sounded slightly taken aback.

Had me chuckling so it did!

You know, I like the idea of Fallon and Chris getting together.

Which would mean she is part time with Martha.

She likes Martha though, almost lie an aunt.

It would/could throw up problems for her friendship with Alice.

But it could be fun. There is chemistry between those two actors and there is much more between her and Chris than between Chris and Alice!

I dont feel sorry for Harrison, because he is a big man child.
I dont also feel sorry for Fallon either, I've never forgotten how awful she was to Alan's daughter when she found out she had slept with Chris.
Wonder How Alice and Rex's life will be.
Two big bores living together.
I know its old fashioned but back in the day no one just moved in together, or you got married if you were pregnant because it was frowned upon if you had a child out of wedlock. I knew a lot of couples who 'HAD' to get married. (I dont think any of those marriages worked out,except my sister and BIL).
Its funny how when I was a teenager,(71 now), what stuff was so terrible at the time, is now nothing at all. It just seems like yesterday to me.

I would back Chris and Fallon. F would make a great stepmum if she fancied the role.

I think it was really shit of Alice to have Rex do bedtime the first night he’d moved into the house. How long have they been together anyway?

I'm 71 and plenty of people just moved in together in the 70s. I got pregnant and didn't get married. Perhaps you lived in a very conservative area.

Rex’s behaviour towards Chris last night was very tone deaf. I felt sorry for him. Rex really has his feet under the table. It’s all too much too soon.

And if I were Fallon, I would have been annoyed with how Alice kept using Fallon’s situation as a springboard into talking about her and Chris and their separation. F was talking about what she is CURRENTLY going through. She really didn’t need Alice to go down Memory Lane and make it all about her. I really wish F wasn’t going to work for the Lizard. She would be better to stay at the Bull for a bit while the dust settles.

Yes, Harrison generally only has two modes: forced hail-fellow-well-met and angry-bastard. The sentimental-tosh mode doesn't suit him at all.

And I am 75 and have, over the course of the past 55 years, cohabited with four men. I have never felt the need to marry any of them ... or anyone else, for that matter. Divorce is so expensive!

Yes not only has she moved Rex in too quickly but she has him parenting Martha and clearing out Chris’s old wardrobe.

No I dont think South London near Brixton where I lived was very conservative. I only knew you got married. Perhaps people did move in together in the 70s but I didn't know anyone. My dad was very strict so I suppose he kept all that stuff quiet. I know he was heart broken when two of my sisters 'Had' to get married.
But that was a lifetime ago and very different times.

I was also in South London in the late 70s. We obviously moved in very different circles.
