All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed, and of course we are always delighted to welcome back former or occasional listeners/posters. We don't all agree on all points, although we do mostly try to be civil about it. Most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you'd like Harrison to hasten home, or other unusual views.

Thanks to John Donne for the title inspiration. The funeral of the century beckons. How much of it do we think we will hear? Kate confirmed tonight that Shula, Debbie, Noli and Sipho are all coming. If we hear one peep from any of them I'll be amazed. Bets on Hazel turning up?

It was just a photo of a dated-looking kitchen in a red top, and it didn't look like my idea of the Honeysuckle Cottage kitchen.

No. It was just an article about giving a dated kitchen a makeover and the author was called Ian Craig. Nowt to do with The Archers.

I’m on my northern hols and I’ve just returned to the world of “internet access without needing to climb a hill to find a phone signal”, so am unclear just how dreadful the recent episodes have been.

The Landmark Trust place I was staying at had a housekeeper living in the Estate’s “Keeper’s Cottage”, which got me thinking…..

Arkwright Hall (the Landmark Trust place in Ambridge) would be the perfect (and logical) device with which to introduce randoms into village life if we have to put up with them. They could turn up for a week, then disappear (possibly to return in future years). They could even be press-ganged into joining the cricket team!

A Monday and Friday quick clean and linen change at Arkwright Hall would be the perfect job for Clarrie.

I can't stand any more of this drivel.

Honestly they can bring Pa and Ma Malik back.

Agree with sentiments

Haven’t listened to today’s yet but I sensed a proposal was on the cards.

Brad obviously did remember Amber. I met someone at university and discovered we’d been in the same year in the school we’d both just left, without knowing one another. It wasn’t a big school, either.

The character is beyond weird. She reminds me of one of those case studies about people who’ve had brain injuries with strange effects, like making them irrationally and pointlessly argumentative, talking only in non-sequiturs, and telling lies about cars.

I am on board with any storyline that puts Emma, Ed and Will together these days. I really enjoy their interactions when they are all united against a common foe, and Will’s had some cracking lines lately!

Ed is getting progressively drippier whereas Will seems to have finally Got A Grip. I'm rather hoping Emma will change partners and dance once again.

Think the Arkwright Hall idea may have been suggested once or twice before, @Madcats!
