Thank you, @PseudoBadger, for kicking off this long, long series of Archers threads.

All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed, and of course we are always delighted to welcome back former or occasional listeners/posters. We don't all agree on all points, although we do mostly try to be civil about it. Most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you'd have liked to have Harrison's behbe, or other unusual views.

I’m lucky my work is considered boring so no celeb or tv producer is interested!

What always strikes me about those programmes is what a big business it is. They talked on on programme about how many vets they have, and I remember thinking that when you added on the nurses, admin staff, cleaners etc, the staffing numbers must be quite hefty. To build up something like that as well as building up the TV thing must need someone pretty hard and businesslike.

I very much enjoyed Natasha's (predictable) attempt to take over the new project. She really is an excellent villain, but why does nobody ever tell her to just eff orf?

At least Natasha has her wits about her, unlike the increasingly bovine Fallon, let alone Chelsea, who puts the ‘lumpen’ in proletariat.

And I am confident in Natasha’s ability to make Tom’s life a little hell, which has to be a Good Thing.

As Ive said before "Shut The Eff Up Chelsea!". Natasha's clicky heels get me every time, she is a vampire.

What Fallon and Chelsea are offering Pip really has nothing to do with the Terum. Fallon's problem was organising it so obviously in work time. Why didn't she book the day off properly on the rota and go and see Pip after work? I can see why Chelsea is keen on the idea - the hen night is a one-off whereas Natasha is proposing more regular events allowing her to show off her nail and beauty skills. I'm hoping it will lead to Fallon abandoning the Terum (not sure what Natasha would do without her - publicity and marketing seemed to be what she was offering which is not much use if you've got nothing to market!) There's no mention of the charging station anymore, but I'd love to see Fallon taking a unit there and opening her own business again - maybe with a hairdressing chair on the side (is that a thing?)

Oooh - love the idea of a tea room opening out to a hairdresser’s at the back! Splendid idea. It would be so cosy and jolly. (I daresay many such places already exist. I wouldn’t know as I’m generally scared of hairdressers so have avoided them for about forty years.)

My former barber moved from premises conveniently five minutes from my door to a place fifteen minutes away where his shop opened out to a tattooist’s parlour at the back - which was at least entertaining. Haven’t been near the place since lockdown but it occurs to me that if only they’d run a cocktail bar on the same floor I might by now be covered in tattoos …

The hen do sounds like a 7yo pamper party that I had the misfortune of attending with dd. They made cakes, had their nails painted, cucumber slices on their eyes and drank fizzy drinks out of champagne flutes all while wearing pink satin robes. DD was a bit bemused by the whole thing.

Also - when did Chelsea train as a nail tech? I thought she did hairdressing?

Doesn’t her skill set encompass hairdressing and beauty? (As well as the odd styling session).

I do hope she can capitalise on her increasingly powerful position (hearing everyone’s business as they sit on her treatment chair) to earn her way out of Ambridge and into a global career. (Wishes / horses / etc.)

Not sure about hairdressers with cafe.

All those fine hair trimmings that get everywhere and the niff of treatments.

How long was she studying then? Feels a bit like the sw are devaluing the industry tbh

Hairdressers can also be quite noisy so wouldn’t be a relaxing caff

however, Fallon having her own tea room next door to Chelsea’s salon at the charging station would be good. However, the leases on those shops will have already been signed
