Spoilers thread for The Archers. All Archers listeners are welcome here, whether you post on our main Archers thread or not. There's just one rule: please keep all spoiler-related discussion in this thread and do not spill the beans on the main Archers thread.

We usually add the BBC teasers and cast lists for forthcoming episodes as they
become available, plus the Radio Times and Daily Mail previews when possible.
Feel free to add anything else you come across, e.g. cast news, scriptwriter

Because of a big project at work and various other disasters I'm 5 weeks behind. So I'm going to catch up today.
Any thoughts and prayers are gratefully received.

TottersBlankly · 17/06/2024 09:02

Safe travels, @Applepencilplant …

Bruisername · 20/06/2024 14:12

Have you survived Apple?

Applepencilplant · 21/06/2024 05:58

I am only 5 episodes in. This much is too much.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 21/06/2024 06:15

We're all rooting for you, @Applepencilplant!

OverArmour · 21/06/2024 06:24

I just did the same @Applepencilplant - it was depressing but also apart from two events pretty much nothing else happened in the rest of the episodes.

WhoppingBigBackside · 21/06/2024 11:14

Keep up the hard work, @Applepencilplant .

So Meg is going to speak - not sure how I feel about that given the spoiler about Eddie

alice sl dragging but perhaps Joy on 25 remembers the cider?

not sure I can bear John becoming a speaking character. Is he a well known actor?

Bruisername · 21/06/2024 22:53

Seems he is quite prolific so I guess he’ll be in for a while

Eastie77Returns · 22/06/2024 11:58

Hopefully Denise’s confession is her telling Ali-stare she is not leaving her husband.

TottersBlankly · 22/06/2024 12:32

Thing is, Denise’s confession comes in the week John speaks - so there’s a fair chance she is, finally, confessing to him about what she and Alistair were doing in the stationery cupboard. And in the Am.

Eastie77Returns · 22/06/2024 12:44

Perhaps. I’ve just never believed she intends to leave him. If she does fess up I wonder if Alistair’s uncomfortable position involves John dropping by the surgery for a ‘chat’.

WhoppingBigBackside · 22/06/2024 13:28

Thanks @AskingQuestionsAllTheTime and @Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g .
I'm bored of the Deni-Stare SL.

WhoppingBigBackside · 27/06/2024 15:21

A gripping week next week. Does that mean Bartleby gets sold to the glue factory?

WhoppingBigBackside · 27/06/2024 16:14

Feedback today. about 15.45 minutes in.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 29/06/2024 12:45

Incoming! At last we have the teasers for next week and I think their absence before looks more like human error than wanting to hide some huge shocking storyline, as there's nothing much there apart from Harry's return (boo, hiss).

Thanks @Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g . 'Natasha' was reading something on R4 yesterday. I suspect that Pip will invite Lottie and Madison along on her holiday with Stella and Fat Rosie, and Stella will say Bye-ee!

TottersBlankly · 29/06/2024 14:12

Thanks @Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g!

Pip and Lottie have far more chemistry …

BoreOfWhabylon · 29/06/2024 14:43

Thanks @Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g

Still no appearance of Brine. It's been weeks now. I do hope Charles Collingwood is ok.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 29/06/2024 14:48

Me too. Sad

OP posts:
WhoppingBigBackside · 29/06/2024 15:02

Me too, was checking the cast lists for him.

I also hope that Angela Piper, who is much missed as our Jennydarling, is ok. Alice could do with her mother right now, Smile.

Maybe Brian wanted to slow down a bit, and that's why he's with Miranda now. Sorry Jenny, I'm sure he would prefer to be with you.

I think George will do a runner at some point, and will go to Gloria Todd Jackie Corkhill Meg Miller's.

Sue Jenkins doesn't sound like she's from the NE. Might pass for NE Wales though. Smile

MsCheeryble · 29/06/2024 15:15

I refuse to believe that Pip is capable of a brainwave. If anything, it's probably some brain-dead idea like "Stella would absolutely love to have Fat Rosie's friend come on holiday with us".

WhoppingBigBackside · 29/06/2024 15:33

@MsCheeryble , my thoughts exactly. Her farming-related brainwaves (picked up from that morning's Farming Today) are usually well-received by her doting dim-wittedparents though.
