Alice is at it again. Following her shocking actions last week, the saintly Chris is at the end of his tether and, while the situation appears hopeless, the Aldridges and Carters try to find a solution. As a new face continues to make her presence felt among the Grundys, emotions run high for George and old memories surface for Eddie. Joy finds herself in charge of preparations for the fete, but will Lynda really let go? Lily is offered an unexpected opportunity at Grey Gables.

not sure I can bear John becoming a speaking character. Is he a well known actor?

Seems he is quite prolific so I guess he’ll be in for a while

Hopefully Denise’s confession is her telling Ali-stare she is not leaving her husband.

Thing is, Denise’s confession comes in the week John speaks - so there’s a fair chance she is, finally, confessing to him about what she and Alistair were doing in the stationery cupboard. And in the Am.

Perhaps. I’ve just never believed she intends to leave him. If she does fess up I wonder if Alistair’s uncomfortable position involves John dropping by the surgery for a ‘chat’.

Sue Jenkins doesn't sound like she's from the NE. Might pass for NE Wales though.

I refuse to believe that Pip is capable of a brainwave. If anything, it's probably some brain-dead idea like "Stella would absolutely love to have Fat Rosie's friend come on holiday with us".

@MsCheeryble , my thoughts exactly. Her farming-related brainwaves (picked up from that morning's Farming Today) are usually well-received by her doting dim-wittedparents though.
