This will be the last four-day week; on 15th we start to get five days, which may or may not be a good thing -- I still don't understand why they have gone for Sunday to Thursday instead of Monday to Friday, but hey ho.

Radio Times Ambridge Diary 7th - 13th August 2021
Last time she vented her anger in the village, Alice ended up lobbing a brick through the window of the community shop. On that occasion, new glass was fitted and Ambridge's resident alcoholic was forgiven. But events are now set to spiral out of control at Willow Cottage -- and it appears the damage Alice causes may well be irreparable. In the aftermath, it's left to the Aldridges to sort through the wreckage while Alice's guilt plunges her into despair. Cue a drastic decision that threatens more heartache.
Elsewhere, we have an update on something that has aerated everyone in the neighbourhood -- yes, it's the scarecrow competition, which finds Fallon & Harrison going all out to snatch victory.
Daily Mail Weekend Magazine Archers Update 9th - 12th August 2021
There’s a right ding-dong over at Willow Cottage, the likes of which have not been seen in Ambridge for at least a week. Alice lashes out left, right, and centre, and the damage seems irreparable. As ever, she’s riddled with guilt after the event, but this time she makes a drastic decision.
Meanwhile, the much-humbled Aldridges wearily attempt to create some kind of order, but it’s all getting too much for them.
The chaos seems to be catching as the summer fete - always a bit of a tinderbox - gets some of the villagers overheated and, as if that wasn’t enough for our poor frazzled nerves in one week, Lynda makes a shocking discovery, and the results of Ruairi’s A levels (and the fiercely fought scarecrow competition) are announced.
