All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed. We don't all agree on all points and most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you'd like to be Joy's best friend or other unusual views.

Thanks for all the input on title suggestions. I'd missed the significance of 111, but @R4 and DDD, our resident numerologist, were right on to it. Strongly tempted by Bore's suggestion but couldn't resist the chance to mention my favourite ever Archers character, Nelson Gabriel. Another one who doesn't hate Shula. Agree she's an ordinary flawed human being who is trying to do good. She gets it wrong sometimes of course - in character driven story lines.

Outside of the artificial machinations of plot - perhaps they might argue that Alan, flitting between 97 parishes, didn’t have a free slot in his Ambridge shift until November 8th? (That would be more convincing to me than the church itself not being free.)

Anyway, it gives Carmen mère time to slim into her widow’s weeds and make her CoroEnderDale entrance right at the start of the eulogy.

My main gripe with Shula is that her voice always sounds so strained, like talking is so hard.

I also don't like how she dumped Alistair, saying she wanted to do something exciting with her life and he was holding her back, only to then carry on as if they're still married, and doing nothing exciting. It was all so pointless.

Carmen Havago is a half-sibling of Eddie and Alf's and will bring his drag act to The Bulls**t.

I really hate Alf. The Carmen Haveago story line is beyond ridiculous.

Yes, Captain, the lady Eddie and Alf visited tonight was the drag artiste's Mother. He named his on-stage persona after his Mum!

It’s getting unrecognisable now. I wish they’d stop it with the “ comedy” storylines. Wasn’t it HILARIOUS how Alice brought Kate and Jakob together? I didn’t see it coming at all.

The trouble with the Carmen storyline is that Clarrie nailed it when she pointed out that, if Joe had had any money, they wouldn't have to move out. She's so obviously right that Eddie should logically have told Alf to get lost, but that would be too sensible.
