One would wonder what the long term story arc for this is

I guess it’s an inevitable shifting of tectonic plates way beneath the Am. Joe’s demise means the end of ‘The Grundys and Their Oppressors’. The Grundy dynasty can’t really be used primarily for comedy now - Eddie and Clarrie are moving into sober, respectable retirement, Ed n Emma have always been too tragic and Hardy-esque* to be funny, and Will is just ... Will.

So they need a new multi-generational family, and the Horrobins are already in situ and totally integrated. What do we know about Tracey’s offspring?

*Or maybe Eliot-esque?

I wish Kenton had some critical thinking skills ... Surely he should have realised by now that he can’t just berate Russ to death. He needs to be much cleverer.

That pretentiousness is what I hate about art. When I make art, there is no "meaning" behind it, I just like playing with paint, and the process, and if I end up with something I like looking at, then that's a bonus.
I completely understand Kenton's reaction, especially when he was first told the gaffer tape "was" the art.
And then Shula, falling for it, hook, line, and sinker.

To be fair to Kenton I think he is doing well not to punch CMR in the face at every opportunity.

And was preparing to get very cross when no-one mentioned the rent/bailiffs in Russ's presence. Until the last bit. He's grooming Elizabeth isn't he?

The similarity between Susan and Emma is often remarked upon on this thread - I don’t think I’d realised, until today, just how alike Elizabeth and Lily are. So clearly susceptible to the same ... ensnarements. It’s awful and terrifying to ‘watch’ ...
