I'm really losing patience with Elizabeth- all this "prison is so horrible" wittering on. That is kind of the point.

So on dodgy accents and Lexi's absence, I always thought she sounded ludicrously fake but I'm sure I heard her voice, accent and all coming on the radio this week. She was playing a Latvian doctor but no idea what the show was, or even if it was really her. Apparently Ania Sowinski is a bilingual with fluent Polish so maybe her accident is amazing.

Ruari sounds like he'll be a one for leading Ben astray perhaps? I wonder how Brine and Jenny will react after being so hard on Elizabeth over Freddy and Noli.

Oh and I too am finding Elizabeth annoying, but I think she's just having a nervous breakdown. The realities of those are often a lot more tedious than you'd think.

Her repetition of "I've let Freddy down", whilst only consciously referring to lawyer, is indicative of she wider feelings of having failed her children. It's mum guilt. It's anyone's fault but Freddy's.

I dismissed the Natasha/Johnny possibility the first time people suggested it - but Tom seriously needs punishing ...

Only, Johnny's in his teens and it's seemed as if Natasha is closer to Tom in age. I have no objection but the BBC tends to be more predictable in its pairings.

I have to admit that I’d be very happy not to hear Lexi back. I like the character, but her ongoing storyline means more of tedious Tucker, half-asleep Adam and intense Ian - plus Jennifer asking far too many personal questions.

I live for Lynda’s sniffs too TigerWho - I’m always waiting for the actress to add one to her Postman Pat voicework too. If I were Mrs Goggins, I’d be sniffing left, right and centre at Pat’s ineptitude. Special delivery service my arse.

R4 - I remember those 'wanting to contact' announcements. I often wondered how dreadful it would be to hear your name/car etc on there.

Another here who is so bored with Lizzie, if they are building up to a heart attack then just get on with it.

There was a R4 programme a couple of years back about SOS announcements. They interviewed some people whose names had been called.

I suppose the cereal cupboard needs redecorating for Rosie now...

New actors didn't sound like 16yos, but I suppose that's inevitable. I'll get used to them in the end. (Although I'm not really used to New Tom yet. )

Johnny actor - I don't have a mental picture of him as drop dead gorgeous looking, but I do think he would be one of those people who is just so lovely that everybody warms to him at once. He has a beautiful voice.

And yes, yes, to the previous poster - Ruari's waywardness is going to be an excellent riposte to Brine and Jennifer's profound lack of sympathy for Elizabeth. I hadn't thought of it until you mentioned it. Nicely done, scriptwriters!

Inky and Bucking I heard 'The Latvian Locum' too but it's a different actress - Dolya Gavanski, who ironically enough is Bulgarian....whereas Ania Sowinski is from a Polish background but was born and brought up in London.

Glad you said that 5000, I heard the Latvian Locum too and was just wondering why I didn't recognise the actor as Lexi at all!

I was struggling with two new voices in one scene. Couldn’t work out which was Ruari and which was Ben most of the time.
I love how they managed to mention the clocks going back!
