As Frilly stress Lizzy out, did the SWs forget her heart defect? Will there be long term llama drama karma in The Archers?

C8H10N4O2 I like that interpretation!

The reason why Pip emphasised Borchester (though not that much. I just caught up so listened more carefully after 5000finger's critical post! } I assumed it was because she was keen to tell Ruth, she had been out and how helpful Toby is being.

R4 · 18/09/2018 11:04

She mentioned how they try to coach junior members of cast who don't seem to get the training in voice acting.

Did she mention how long it normally takes?Hmm
If Daisy hasn't cracked it after four years, then will she ever?

In fact, in the flat we had in the third year the kitchen and bath were in the same room. We had that in our first year accommodation. With added mouse.

bolleaux I'm so jealous! I LOVE toads!

Where is Dairyfarmerswife to tell us about the costs of building a new parlour

Here I am! I was actually wondering last week what had happened about the parlour as all had gone quiet. Costs would be well into 6 figures depending on the size etc. At one stage they were talking about upgrading the current parlour which is probably cheaper but harder logistically. Also they were talking about a rapid exit, which means rather than the cows filing out at the front they all walk out in a line, so it depends on the building they are putting it in since more room would be needed at each side of the parlour for that. Ruth talked about not being able to use the new parlour until February so perhaps their plan is to do the work while all the cows are dry in Dec/Jan. That's pretty optimistic given that it is Sept now and most farm building projects over run!

I'm not sure I have explained the parlour thing so here are a couple of videos for the over infested...

One of my earliest memories is standing holding Dad's hand and looking down into a massive giant pit which was to become the new milking parlour. Must have been about 1976. The pit may not have been as massive as I remember, but it was massive to a 4yo. I also just remember the parlour it replaced, with a big concrete slope outside to roll the churns up, though I don't think they still did that in my day.

Not that this is relevant. I was just reminded of it.

slippyshoesshuffle · 18/09/2018 15:24

I think I had a dream. In it Peggy was speaking about some grower who had enormous raspberries and a very firm corn on the cob.

Is there a Carry On theme that I've missed?

Could Bridge Farm take over Brookfield's old milking equipment?

R4 · 18/09/2018 16:14

Could Bridge Farm take over Brookfield's old milking equipment?

Nah. David will entrust it to Josh, and tell him what a splendid job he did when he sells it for a goodly sum.
Oh look. A flying pig.

Brookfield's old eqpt will be too big for BF's micro-needs unless these things can be disposed of piecemeal.

C8H10N4O2 · 18/09/2018 17:59

What was the knife talk for in the programme last night? David had lost a knife, then Johnny and Tom were talking about a knife.

Are we supposed to combine that with Henry's behaviour and wanting to defend mummy and assume he is going to take a knife to someone?

Is Pip visiting Ambridge Farm soon? Grin

Is Pip visiting Ambridge Farm soon?

arf.
Pip's suggestion of visiting LL was weird. You can just imagine the scene now:
"You shouldn't worry about Lily. Remember, Auntie Lizzie, when I was a young thing hanging around with that unsuitable older man, Jooooood And look how well I have turned out!"

EBearhug · 18/09/2018 18:30

Pip's suggestion of visiting LL was weird.

She did live at LL for a while. It seems weirder to me that she doesn't seem to have visited much at all.

R4 · 18/09/2018 18:38

Visit? - yes.
Go on a girly sleepover when you have a two-month-old and only live down the road? - weird.

LetticeFortescue · 18/09/2018 19:01

Wasn't SuperBabe conceived at Lower Loxley? Perhaps Pip just wanted to show her her origins.

QuaterMiss · 18/09/2018 19:03

Yaaaaaaaaay!!!!!!!!

QuaterMiss · 18/09/2018 19:09

And are Brian and Peggy an item now?

Hmm
TigerDrankAllTheWaterInTheTap · 18/09/2018 19:15

How lovely to hear Eleanor Bron Carol!

CarefullyDrawnMap · 18/09/2018 19:16

Grin at the announcer

R4 · 18/09/2018 19:20

I was thinking that it was weird that Pip is visiting/supporting Lizzie, and not Jill, but I rationalised it by saying that maybe Patricia Greene wasn't well.
And then up she pops!
Confused

MikeUniformMike · 18/09/2018 20:19

I like overinfested.

MrsGrindah · 18/09/2018 20:54

Assume the milk the Brookfield cows produce isn’t good enough for Helens cheese then?

MrsGrindah · 18/09/2018 20:58

Is it too early for a thread title suggestion? “ We put the parlour in, we took the parlour out, in, out, in ,out milkshake it all about!”

C8H10N4O2 · 18/09/2018 21:35

Assume the milk the Brookfield cows produce isn’t good enough for Helens cheese then?

It isn't organic

MrsGrindah · 18/09/2018 21:45

Oh I see. Well...we won’t tell anyone will we?

dairyfarmerswife · 18/09/2018 21:56

Assume the milk the Brookfield cows produce isn’t good enough for Helens cheese then?

It is probably perfect for cheese making since they bought the cross bred cows who produce higher butterfat and protein but sadly it isn't organic.
