As Frilly stress Lizzy out, did the SWs forget her heart defect? Will there be long term llama drama karma in The Archers?

Guessing and speculating about the future is fine, as long as you are not unconciously revealing something you read on the spoiler thread.

After all, haven't you encountered MysticBore on these threads? Smile

Gosh, it's taken me practically all week to catch up with all the posts (apart from that weird night when nothing really happened). I love the idea that the complaint about Russ is about ANOther student. Let it be so.

Anyone else think that Emmur and the karate bloke might be on for an affair? There was a LOT of flirting between them IMO, anyway.

And hope you've got your gin ready Swannykazoo, just in case, y'know

MereDintofPandiculation · 14/09/2018 19:05

Does anyone else find this? For various reasons I'm hugely behind in actually listening, but reading this thread makes me more determined rather than less to listen to the episodes I've missed. At the moment I'm really looking forward to hearing Hilda.

Not the kettle!!

BertrandRussell · 14/09/2018 19:20

Oh, Lizzie! So close.....if only you hadn't said "if"........

TeenTimesTwo · 14/09/2018 19:24

Lizzie, just a step too far!

Conversation reminded me of (far too) many conversations we have had to have over the last 3 years with DD1 since she went to 6th form college, fell head over heals for a lad … We have taken similar approach to Lizzie but without the last bit of the conversation.

DadDadDad · 14/09/2018 19:32

Yes, the "if" was a mis-step from Elizabeth but I think it's about time she said those things. I don't necessarily think E has blown it. Once Lily calms down and experiences the reality with Russ, she might start to realise that her mum had a point.

C8H10N4O2 · 14/09/2018 19:40

Oh, Lizzie! So close.....if only you hadn't said "if"........

That was exactly my reaction - the moment that "if" came out I groaned!

witchmountain · 14/09/2018 20:00

But BOOP generally, good episode.

Gersemi · 14/09/2018 20:05

It's really quite peculiar that Russ has (allegedly) decided it was more important to see his parents than help Lily pack, take their stuff to Manchester and set up the new flat. Not terribly supportive, is it?

ADarkandStormyKnight · 14/09/2018 20:31

Ah, good for Jazzer. And Jim.

anappleadaykeeps · 14/09/2018 20:49

Why isn't Elizabeth trying to get another reference, now that Lily's relationship with Russ is out in the open?

Usher seemed to know all about how Lily will need to be interviewed by the police and SS, but doesn't seem to have said any more about the reference clearly being inappropriate now.....

If Usher was my lawyer, I would be pretty unimpressed.

anappleadaykeeps · 14/09/2018 20:50

Loved Alistair's birthday party - really sweet

ppeatfruit · 14/09/2018 21:28

Oh Lizzie you just couldn't quite manage the softly softly approach could you? So near. BOOP for that scene.

Yes another BOOP for Alastair's party, sad to never had had one as a child. Nice to hear the contrite Jim who 'nearly' hugged his son. Sad

C8H10N4O2 · 14/09/2018 21:33

If Usher was my lawyer, I would be pretty unimpressed

We don't actually know what advice Usha has given Elizabeth - all we have heard is a couple of snippets second hand from Elizabeth, not a debrief on all the advice given.

echt · 14/09/2018 21:55

I rather liked that Lizzie just couldn't hold off at the end. It would take nerves of steel not to say what she said, in fact she is to be congratulated for staying off what sad twat he is and an utter wrong 'un.

Very telling that Lliy had believed that Russ had said it was all OK, and now it turns out there's safeguarding issue.

ADarkandStormyKnight · 14/09/2018 22:47

Lizzy was doing so well... I thought she expressed herself very well when talking about Russ being responsible for himself.

Massive red flag that Russ didn’t want her to do freshers week.

buckingfrolicks · 14/09/2018 23:52

Oh yes let Ed be cuckolded by Mr Karate. That would mean lots of Ed and I just adore His voice and he's not in it anywhere near enough.

buckingfrolicks · 14/09/2018 23:53

Obviously I don't adore Ed's voice to the degree that he is deified Confused

TigerTeatimes · 15/09/2018 00:12

Oh I have been looking forward to tonight and it didn't disappoint one bit.

BOOP indeed for Jazzer - just so pleased he pulled off again.

MrsArthur It was the musical melodrama that piqued my interest and got me listening.

Ooooh I can't want for this whole Russ thing to blow up.

LassWiADelicateAir · 15/09/2018 00:28

Agreed Boop for Jazzer. What a brilliant idea.

As for Lizzie and Lily oh fgs both of them - get a grip.

Gersemi · 15/09/2018 00:40

Massive red flag that Russ didn’t want her to do freshers week.

That's a point - he doesn't want Lily to make other friends, does he? She really needs that conversation with Helen.

BikingBeatrix · 15/09/2018 00:42

Aye, Jazzer’s braw. But l feel irritated that Usha is acting for Freddie at all. At the time of the affair with Roy, Usha told Roy and Hayley she couldn’t act for them as she is Elizabeth's friend. Surely she shouldn’t be acting for Elizabeth’s son either. It’s not like she the only lawyer in that little world!

LassWiADelicateAir · 15/09/2018 01:33

Usha is apparently the only solicitor in Borsetshire and a jack of all trades too.
