Note to SW: it's not working. I still hate Pip and cannot for one moment imagine her as some modern day Mona Lisa. I especially loathe her dysfunctional relationship with her parents

I was about to pen one to them on those lines. I hate her too. I can't picture her as anything other than those ruddily healthy girls you see at agricultural shows , all shirts with collars turned , fleecy gilets, slightly too tight moleskin jeans tucked into Dubarry boots. Practical and hardworking but devastating ? No.
