I think Pip should consider Toby's moral choices about the wisdom of withholding the truth in relation to Brighton.

Maybe Toby just doesn't want to deal with the inevitable fallout of a drama if she tells, he's pretty lazy and suppprting Pip would be hard work?

If no-one else, surely Ed will be the one to blow the whistle, unless Pip or Toby convince him that he'll get the blame because he put the cows in Adam's field. He's thick enough to fall for that (i feel mean saying that, but it's true isn't it?)
