Initially, Justin said that Miranda wanted to live somewhere where she could keep / ride her horse (s), didn't he? We're not hearing her "horsey" side at all now.

She did her usual sniffy/superior routine with Shula so she's lost the goodwill of the local livery. Conversely, Anisha hasn't tried to schmooze her (cf. the boozy lunch that required Uber-Rex) because she knows that Miranda has no social influence. Considering that her DH is MFH she must be alienating people left, right and centre if she has found no horsey friends.

DadDadDad · 06/03/2017 10:28

Interestingly, when Justin was first in TA, I remember being very conscious of picturing Simon Williams and that it was him playing Justin. But I think SiWi has so embedded the role, that I had a little jolt when ppeat* mentioned his name, as I just picture him as Justin now - sign of good acting, I guess.

I am not in a position to comment on the tastiness of SiWi (sigh). Confused

*silly abbreviation, but can't call him SW, it will be the whole script-writer / social worker debacle again Smile

LowDudgeon · 06/03/2017 11:08

MFH is (was?) Oliver, not Justin.

Does Justin do horses at all?

R4 · 06/03/2017 11:14

Oh, you're right Low. oops.Blush I stick by my other two points though.

mummytime · 06/03/2017 11:19

Justin does do horses and has been riding with Lilian, and even took her early on to help him buy horses.

ppeatfruit · 06/03/2017 11:53

Yes and Miranda has been heard at Shula's stables quite recently pure mince

Gruach · 06/03/2017 19:06

Ouch!

Gruach · 06/03/2017 19:14

Toby the Farmer!Halo

Gruach · 06/03/2017 19:15

Where y'all at?

Confused
Imbroglio · 06/03/2017 19:38

Respec' to Miranda.

glamorousgrandmother · 06/03/2017 19:40

I missed the last few words - something about somebody not being happy - can someone tell me who said what about whom please?

EsmesBees · 06/03/2017 19:42

Toby said Lillian wasn't very happy glamorous

EsmesBees · 06/03/2017 19:43

Which was a fair assessment really.

Good on Miranda. I hope this story will be put to bed now. I've not enjoyed it at all.

GrumpyOldBag · 06/03/2017 19:45

Maybe Justin will decide he prefers Lillian and will dump Miranda?

Seems a bit unlikely though ...

GrumpyOldBag · 06/03/2017 19:51

How old is Lillian supposed to be anyway?

One thing I do like about this plotline is that it shows that 'older' women can still be sexy. Unlike most TV dramas.

And Miranda is such a bitch she can't be much fun to be married to.

R4 · 06/03/2017 20:13

I'm stunned that Lillian gave in so easily. I would have expected her to say something along the lines of "talk to your husband, not me. And don't you dare speak to me like that."
Is that Justin gone then? Do we need a new baddie?

I'm sure that is at least the second time recently that someone has said to Harrison "are you here on business?" Is that the SW's way of having a chuckle at the expense of Borsetshire’s Rural Crime Unit, who never seems to do any actual policing.Grin

BertrandRussell · 06/03/2017 20:16

Go Miranda!!!!!!!!

AuntyElle · 06/03/2017 20:16

Lilian has been a nuanced character with some cliched traits (first to the gin etc) but with depth and veracity. Her portrayal recently, especially in The Bull tonight, has let down years of mostly careful, satisfying character development.
The Pip and Toby save new born calf plot parallel was clunky to the point of offensiveness.
Oh FFS. Where's Jazzer?

KingscoteStaff · 06/03/2017 21:16

That was a VERY busy Bull for a Monday night! Sounded like the entire village was in there.

D'you think they've just bought some new atmos tapes and wanted to get their money's worth?

BluePheasant · 06/03/2017 21:40

I was thinking the same Kingscote! Seemed so loud! Was wondering if there was some special event I'd missed hearing about Grin

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 06/03/2017 22:14

They are trying to redeem Pipsqueak and Tobes and make us like them. It won't work

TheAntiBoop · 06/03/2017 22:21

Yep - too little too late.

It would be like bringing hazel back as a kind natured philanthropist

LowDudgeon · 06/03/2017 22:32

R4 I'm very sorry, I posted too soon & didn't mean to sound so brusque Flowers

I had intended to say that, in TA, one elderly posh bloke sounds so much like any other elderly posh bloke that they all merge into one (except Jim, but nobody would ever associate him with horses, or anything other than the classics)

BertrandRussell · 06/03/2017 22:48

So is are we supposed to accept that Toby's Brighton story was true and that's all sorted now-forget and move on?

R4 · 06/03/2017 22:51

No offence taken Low.Smile
