Quelle surprise! Rob hasn't FOTTFSOF and is in fact hiding in the bushes at Henwee's school. Discuss the latest unlikely Archers events here.

What do we want?
Realistic storylines!
When do we want them?
As soon as the writers see this!

AuldHeathen the kick had me wondering too, but on listening to the film, I think it was just Helen who then slipped in the mud getting away from him as he went towards her.

TheAntiBoop · 05/02/2017 18:46

I think Henry kicked rob trying to defend his mummy

That kid needs serious professional help. How he can't be traumatised by the two major events in the last six months

ErrolTheDragon · 05/02/2017 18:55

I think he'd just unstuck himself when Helen arrived.

He's probably fled; I suppose its faintly possible he might try to turn to Alan for sanctuary (after all, it was Alan who helpfully suggest he focus on JackHmm) but maybe not quite that delusional.

I'm hoping that at some point he will be apprehended and brought to justice (autocorrect tried to make that Justin, inappropriately Grin) - I reckon the TW FB chat thing was just misdirection so we were expecting death, so I'm not convinced that he'll have managed to successfully FOTTFSOFATFOSM.

SealSong · 05/02/2017 19:15

Urgh, that was pretty horrible of Pat, to prompt Henry to open up about his sad and confused feelings then pretty much tell him he is wrong to feel those feelings. Way to go Pat. She has no understanding whatsoever of the trauma and emotional confusion he will be going through.
I hope Henry is not going to be miraculously happy and emotionally sorted after that! That would be very poor scriptwriting indeed.

Timetogetup0630 · 05/02/2017 19:15

Minneapolis eh ?
Well I hope he hasn't got any stamps from Iran or Iraq in his passport.....

selsigfach · 05/02/2017 19:20

Eh? So aren't the police after him to arrest him for kidnap?

Waterfeature · 05/02/2017 19:20

What a crap episode!

What sort of mother/grandmother expects a small child just to get on with it after experiencing that sort of trauma (not to mention what he went through before)? They seem incredibly selfish and self-absorbed.

As for the boring cricket chat... yawn!

LeninaCrowne · 05/02/2017 19:22

Did Pip "invest" in Tobee's gin or did she "gift" him the money?

Does anyone think she'll ever any get back?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 05/02/2017 19:24

What about an international arrest warrant? IRL I don't expect the 45th President will see it as any sort priority to repatriate a white Anglo-Saxon Protestant accused of sexual violence and attempted kidnapping of his own child, though. The next we hear of Rob will probably be as the new US Agriculture Secretary.

SaffyRosie · 05/02/2017 19:25

After Harrison saying they don't have to worry anymore ... I want Rob to come back and kill the lot of them. They are all so smug. And Helen is the most selfish person. It's always about her and her wants. She wanted a baby, couldn't wait to find a partner so went ahead with artificial insemination regardless of the fact the kid would never have a dad. It was " I want it, so I get it" attitude. I won't forgive the script writers for letting her get pregnant in the first go. She was so vile to her father afterwards when he struggled with it.

Surely if rob came back he would be more than just a "person of interest" to the police. Can't they extradite him for kidnapping? Helen cannot relax until he is in prison. He can always come back from Minneapolis and if he is only " of interest" to the police then he will always have a chance to do something despicable. The only way to prevent this is dead or in prison. Charge him!

Imbroglio · 05/02/2017 19:27

Well I was pleased to hear someone acknowledging how Henry is feeling and talking to him about it. He must be incredibly confused and sad.

Brillig · 05/02/2017 19:27

So Pip's back to trusting Toebeeeeeee. Sigh. Twunt.

This SL has further to go, surely? That can't be it - he dropped everything to support an addict friend, panic over, move along folks, nothing to see here?

I'll have to LA tomorrow because there was at least one thing she mumbled that was completely unintelligible. Her diction gets worse and worse.

Vango · 05/02/2017 19:28

I have sympathy for all of them. How would they begin to deal with everything that's happened. They're doing their best.

toldmywraath · 05/02/2017 19:30

Igraine Pendragon I also listen to the omnibus and have come on here today to ask for no spoilersin the thread title Your request "
Could I ask you please not to put spoilers in the thread title" was very polite and I echo it please.

It appeared on active threads and gave the plot away.

Girlwhowearsglasses · 05/02/2017 19:36

'Can't harm you any more'

He's already done it! It'll last for lifetimes.

OhTheRoses · 05/02/2017 19:52

Pat's so horrible. Has stuck by Helen, taken her in with Jack and Henry, lost John, loves Tom and Kirsty, welcomed Johnnie. Behaves like a pretty caring and loving mother and grandma. Yep, let's berate her for providing a safe and loving home all because she doesn't do social work speak.

lottiegarbanzo · 05/02/2017 19:54

Ugh Gasp0de that gave me a little shudder of 'truth' - how well a (cleverer) Rob character would fit in.

TheAntiBoop · 05/02/2017 19:58

Did pip walk away saying 'I can't deal with this'

The Minneapolis thing is week. Is that even a known destination? Wouldn't they say the airport? I also don't believe he left a job there on good references etc. I'm not sure you can enter the us on a tourist visa and then look for work? I'd buy it more if he had gone to an eu country

PseudoBadger · 05/02/2017 20:03

Sorry, I understand that not everyone listens at the same pace. But after the 7pm broadcast any discussion (and inclusion in any titles) is, and has always been, fair game.

Where's Tony?

Pat is horrible. She's so smug and self-righteous. She tramples over other people to get what she wants. Her DC take after her.

Brillig · 05/02/2017 20:05

I was poised with my bingo card, Anti, but disappointingly, Pip didn't utter her trademark phrase Wink

TheAntiBoop · 05/02/2017 20:05

They couldn't afford him to do more than put Henry in his pjs on another room

Agree Francis. Jack is young enough to forget this. Henry needs his mummy to give him some undivided attention.
