Avoided a non-sweary title.

Ah yes, Traceee is the tart!

Fink · 26/01/2017 20:07

Now that all's well and harmonious in Brookfield complete with icky Toby and Pip in bed (with flapjacks) our life together is so lovely speech ... how long before Jill is vindicated, Pip realises what an utter loser Toby is, and the whole thing goes terribly wrong?! Can't be more than a couple of weeks tops. Doom. The end is nigh (hopefully).

PuppetInParadize · 26/01/2017 20:12

Yeah, you'd think they could get the sink lowered so she could sit to wash up, clean the veg and stuff.Grin In my life the Ben equivalent would have his game taken away till the dishes were done. Josh to help maybe.

I'd forgotten about Peggy and Jill chatting. That was quite a nice scene.

They take their lead from their parents! God forbid Jill should suggest it!

EBearhug · 26/01/2017 20:16

There seemed to be rather a lot of foreshadowing at the end of that episode.

echt · 26/01/2017 20:33

I agree, rather thumping conclusions, heavily underlined by Toebee's silence.

I can do with the realism, but actually hearing the flapjacks being noshed by the loving couple turned my stomach.

birdsdestiny · 26/01/2017 20:40

I was more disturbed by David and Ruth, I was driving dc back from Beavers and thought I was going to have to switch off as I assumed they were about to get down to it.

Gruach · 26/01/2017 20:46

and if she wants to be comfortable in her own home

Which reminds me - didn't David and Ruth have an agreement whereby they paid Phil and Jil a pension out of the farm? To enable them to retire and be independent. Slightly curious about how that's all working out.

AnthonyPandy · 26/01/2017 20:52

I just watched Eastenders, and I think I just saw Justin Elliott at the end???

Did anyone else see it?

5OBalesofHay · 26/01/2017 20:54

Yep. That was Justin

redshoeblueshoe · 26/01/2017 21:00

Was Rob with him ? Grin

PuppetInParadize · 26/01/2017 21:14

Somebody should tell Helen. Grin

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 26/01/2017 22:33

Oh ffs an entire Brookfield episode. Thank goodness for the iplayer fast forward button.

Shallishanti · 26/01/2017 23:00

OMG you are right Shock

GypsyFl0ss · 26/01/2017 23:49

Pip at the end made me think of Kathy Bates and Misery. You're trapped now boy.

TheSilveryPussycat · 27/01/2017 00:27

When the others wash up, I expect they do it all wrong and put it away in all the wrong places in Jill's Brookfield's kitchen.

I prefer to do my own washing up - and my DM, who is Jill's age, would do it standing up with a broken ankle. (She is made of stern stuff!)

mummytime · 27/01/2017 06:22

I just realised if Rex is Taxi driving it adds a whole load of dramatic possibilities! So I bet the scriptwriters really want to do that one!

Well now Jill's come round I should think it's only a matter of days before we find out what happens in Brighton.

Gruach · 27/01/2017 08:24

Yup. I'm actually feeling a little sorry for Tobes. Grin

This ^. I don't like people 'helping' either. If someone does it for me I usually have to do it again and my daughter is the same as me.

My mother used to help by washing half of it, badly, then leaving the rest and it drove me mad. My ancient dad now lets the dog lick the plates and rinses them under the tap.

Vango · 27/01/2017 08:30

Understandable, if you have invited guests who don't know where anything goes, and you want them to have a relaxing dinner at yours. Completely unacceptable if you've cooked a celebratory meal for your own (resident) family and they leave all the subsequent clearing up to you!

Does Josh's website come from the same genius that created Helen's innovativeHmm organic baby food.
A quick google tells me that he is up against AutoTrader's farm division but I'm sure that he will be buying them out in a few years.

ppeatfruit · 27/01/2017 09:22

ref. Jill's damascene conversion in favour of Tobee. IMO and E it's unrealistic to have a nearly 90 year old who is able to listen to and act with reason. I have tried for years to get my mother to change her mind about my brother's girlfriends, regardless of how pleasant they are she hates them. She's even worse now. It's difficult, we can never have an 'all partners' gathering
