Happy New Year to you all.

OP posts:
EsmesBees · 08/01/2017 19:10

Well done Helen. Basically saying what we have all week.

TheAntiBoop · 08/01/2017 19:14

Helen is weakening towards him

Roy/Tracey is going to be one of those sl. I can think of other silent characters id rather have heard from

Shallishanti · 08/01/2017 19:19

she shouldn't accept the present for Henry, it's against the court ruling and will weaken her position, he's plotting something

user1475253854 · 08/01/2017 19:31

I haven't been on these threads in nearly a year, so apologies if this has been discussed before -
Do you find that everything moves faster and issues are resolved much more quickly these days? I haven't listened for months so I've noticed more of a difference I think. I'm not talking about the big drama stuff of R/H, but say someone asking another character about something small/trivial and it would usually be picked up again later in the week or sometimes even the next week but now you go back to the scene later in the episode, sometimes even more than once. So storylines are used up so much faster than previously.

Topazmortmain666 · 08/01/2017 19:33

Longtime lurker here - could barely listen, let alone post during the helrob slasher SL. Feel calm enough now to say Rob's clearly decided to use Alan's advice as his tactical strategy. The tosser.

LowDudgeon · 08/01/2017 19:41

I was shouting NO! NO! NO! during the pause

Silly Helen!

I know she sounded resolute enough afterwards but Rob will still think he's got his foot in the Henry door now AngrySad

LowDudgeon · 08/01/2017 19:43

Incidentally, I'll have to LA but did Helen finally say Tom shouldn't have said that to her???

TheSecretMrsFairbrother · 08/01/2017 19:52

Are Tracey and Mrs Gnome from Ben and Holly the same person?

Whenever she speaks all I can hear is "rinky dinky doo".

echt · 08/01/2017 20:10

Helen's been very foolish indeed. Her telling Rob "this changes nothing" means nothing when she's, er actually permitted him to change things, as she will find out later. This is Rob's metaphorical foot in the door.

ColdTeaAgain · 08/01/2017 20:11

I have a horrible feeling Helen is going to give Rob a second chance. The divorce will go through yes butover time he is going to worm his way back in. Why would you take presents from someone you supposedly don't want to have any contact with your children? She isn't as strong as she's sounding.

TheAntiBoop · 08/01/2017 20:12

She feels sorry for him

ColdTeaAgain · 08/01/2017 20:50

If she gives Henry that present it will undo all the weeks of trying to fade Rob out of his life.

TheAntiBoop · 08/01/2017 20:56

And she's messing with a 6yo head

EsmesBees · 08/01/2017 21:03

She does feel sorry for him, but I think there is something else going on too. I think she still struggles to reconcile her hopes for the marriage with what happened.

PuppetInParadize · 08/01/2017 21:07

This Helen Rob thing is quite vexing. She could have just suggested he brought the toy for jack back next time. At least if she does give him a chance, other people will be more alert to the situation. Except Tom of course who is extremely far up his own posterior.

TheAntiBoop · 08/01/2017 21:08

If he plays the contrite puppy dog for long enough I think she will go back

And everyone in the village will roll their eyes and wonder what's up with her. Which is kind of true to life I suppose.

ppeatfruit · 08/01/2017 21:16

Thanks for the New Year good wishes President Olivia Congratulations on your promotion!!!

My laptop has been playing up. Hence my disappearance.

I'm going to throw a cat among the pigeons, but Kirstie DID sleep with Tom, if she hates him , and can't forgive him, as much as she obviously still does, I don't reckon she'd have shagged him.

TheMortificadosDragon · 08/01/2017 23:10

Kirsty doesn't hate Tom - or at least, had got over that before his latest idiocy - but she hasn't forgiven him and can never trust him in a relationship with her again.

Number of bedrooms at BHC was another Grin

selsigfach · 08/01/2017 23:33

Helen is a bloody idiot. I'm waiting for her to tell Pat "but he's changed, he loves me", and then have SS remove the children. The whole holding herself up as this wise worldly woman who knows everything there is to know about relationships when talking to Tom and Johnny is ludicrous.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 09/01/2017 07:56

Doesn't everyone have a spare bedroom they can call up at will, LowDudgeon? I know we have several stacked up out in the garden. Grin I suppose it's an improvement on the days of yore when there was a second pub in the village, The Cat and Fiddle, long since converted into flats. It was notorious for moving around the village depending on where the SWs needed it to be, and that was in the days of an archivist!

Minimammoth · 09/01/2017 08:13

I can't bear any more Helrob torture, she needs therapy.

Vango · 09/01/2017 09:42

Gumpendorf I think most of us are overthinking it all! Archers

TheMortificadosDragon · 09/01/2017 10:13
