Happy New Year to you all.

I think you'll find it is on the road to nowhere. Just like Rob.

Just listened on iPlayer. Enjoyed the continuity announcer: 'Tom makes a vow … something to do with babies or sausages!'. Lovely words from Bert, Toby being put in his place, and Ian sussed Lily out nicely. Good episode.

redshoeblueshoe · 18/01/2017 11:03

Shame about having Pip in it

trevortrevorslattery · 18/01/2017 11:09

Francis I really really would love to see The Archers acted by dogs!

Maybe woy and kirsty will get together over a plate of spaghetti like Lady and the Tramp Grin

Old news - but I saw Rogue One on Monday starring the old Emma Carter. It is the best film in all of history and I heartily recommend it.

Toomuchtea · 18/01/2017 11:16

I also saw Rogue One. I was wondering if Rob could be Darth Vader, but I think not. Not at the moment, anyway.

TheAntiBoop · 18/01/2017 11:38

I wonder if lily is going to end up taking drugs of some form at the party

They are due a reversal with Freddie being the hero!

Megatherium · 18/01/2017 12:35

Isn't it on the road out to Hollerton or somewhere?

It must be close to Ambridge if that was Rob's local shop.

MrsArthurShappey · 18/01/2017 12:55

I was idly wondering the other day, as you do, why on earth Rob stays in Ambridge

Because (parrotphrasing) 'I will not be driven out of MY home by that bitch and her lies'

I think we might see Charlie's return fairly soon. All this about Stefan, Knob's obvious incompetence and the reminders of marital relations still unresumed chez Adam'n'Ian.

MrsArthurShappey · 18/01/2017 13:00

Pseudo, have you got a thread title lined up?

PseudoBadger · 18/01/2017 13:02

Yes I'm on it

OP posts:
PseudoBadger · 18/01/2017 13:33

I played with "if the Archers were acted by dogs, Rob would be a shit" - but I know lots of people don't like sweary titles....

OP posts:
MrsArthurShappey · 18/01/2017 13:48

Haha well I like it!

ErrolTheDragon · 18/01/2017 14:03

I'm not sure the Ambridge shop really is his most local, he was just being deliberately difficult.

Like that title, psuedo, Rob certainly isn't any sort of dog type I know. If we were doing a Star Wars crossover, he'd be the one of the thoroughly nasty but second tier henchmen with an English accent who always end up taking the fall. Which makes Justin either Darth or the Emperor I suppose.

Megatherium · 18/01/2017 14:24

Rob was desperate enough to get into the shop, which suggests that there wasn't another one convenient to wherever he lives. I doubt that he would have willingly put himself in a position where effectively he was dependent on Jim for a favour, even if he passed it off as a demand.

enochroot · 18/01/2017 14:29

I like the doggy thread title.

SingingAvocado · 18/01/2017 15:04

Just listened to John Finnemore. Excellent and Lynda was fab!

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 18/01/2017 17:52

I played with "if the Archers were acted by dogs, Rob would be a shit"

As long as you mean that literally and are not casting aspersions at blameless Shih Tzus

(And tbh I don't like sweary titles)

PseudoBadger · 18/01/2017 18:07

Lass that is a great spark of inspiration thank you!

I should never have got out of bed this morning. 😳

CeciledeVolanges · 19/01/2017 15:04

Someone asked upthread - cara courage has a programme for the conference on her website, if you Google "cara courage Academic Archers programme" you should find the page or at least a link there.

DadDadDad · 19/01/2017 15:09

Cecilede - the party's Archers moved to a new thread - see Pseudo's post yesterday evening.
