Sorry, Tony's cunning plan is new to me. What did I miss? Did he tell us what it was or was there just speculation?

nagsandovalballs · 08/12/2016 07:30

When rob goes on a shoot, does he use his own gun or one provided by the shoot? As shoots happen on a Saturday, will there be a Christmas Eve shoot?

glowfrog · 08/12/2016 07:44

TukTuk when Tony spoke to Lillian about her affair with Justin (as revealed to him by Rob), he told her "maybe we can use this to our advantage" or some such. That's all that was said on air.

Tuktuktaker · 08/12/2016 07:58

Ah, OK, thanks, glowfrog. Umm, could I put a secondary question, please? Did Lilian tell Justin about Rob's discovery of her scarf and his implicit threat of blackmail and if she did, how did Justin react? And if not, why not? Wink (Not for you to answer, I know.)

GrumpyOldBag · 08/12/2016 08:02

No, Lilian told Justin their affair had been rumbled by the family, but did not mention Rob's conversation with her or the scarf.

GrumpyOldBag · 08/12/2016 08:04

Fiderer, there was another hearing. The audience wasn't invited in but the result was Rob's contact cut to once a month and to be professionally supervised in a contact centre. Ursula was there, there was evidently a lot of hot air and nonsense spouted about Gideon/Jack name ...

EBearhug · 08/12/2016 08:05

Shoots can happen any day of the week (except Sunday.)

Why ws Anna there? I thought Maggie was their solicitor for the family court stuff. Anna was the barrister for Helen's criminal trial.

Tuktuktaker · 08/12/2016 08:05

Hmm, that's what I'd thought, GrumpyOldBag, but I lack the imagination to comprehend why Lilian wouldn't have told Justin about it immediately.

TheAntiBoop · 08/12/2016 08:14

That sinkhole is going to finally be of use

Rob will hold henwee hostage, teetering at the edge, there will be lots of screaming and then a really log scream. Longer than Nigel's because the sinkhole is really deep. Or maybe the same as Nigel's.

We will have no idea what's going on (like the bull incident) and will have to have it explained by random actors playing firefighters and paramedics

Fiderer · 08/12/2016 08:17

Thanks GrumpyOldBag. Did think of shortening your name but couldn't decide what was better, Grumpy or Old Bag Grin Def not GOB though Shock

enochroot · 08/12/2016 08:31

Lillian's affair has been spotted by Susan so Rob will have no blackmail leverage to use because Susan will broadcast it anyway. Perhaps that was part of the 'cunning plan'!

Rob won't just accept the court ruling. He'll do all he can to de-stabilise the BF Archers so I think his first step is to try to tempt Henry away for a short spell and then be all wide-eyed and innocent saying it isn't his fault that Henry loves him.
A straight-up kidnapping is more in SOC's line so I think we'll be spared that.
But I could be wrong. I usually am.

BitOutOfPractice · 08/12/2016 08:35

Anti I think they'll just use the same scream. The one they got out of the sound archive from an old episode of Dick Barton Special Agent from1947

Fiderer · 08/12/2016 08:44

Just listened. Must admit I enjoyed Susan, poss a nostalgic oddity on my part or that she seemed such a pantomime character - "Spread gossip? Me? Never!"

Would like to have heard the judge. Pat remarked re Gideon "After all the judge said..." What did he say? Though "not safe to be left alone with a child" will have to suffice for now.

Should stop ARS-ing Grin

TheMortificadosDragon · 08/12/2016 09:02

Is Rob going to turn up at BF on xmas day demanding his right to 3hrs of Jack, having wilfully misunderstood that the previous arrangement was terminated? There isn't a Christmas special scheduled is there?

Any title ideas?

TheMortificadosDragon · 08/12/2016 10:09

The obvious would be something like, Christmas is coming, the goose is getting flatulent I suppose

WouldHave · 08/12/2016 10:33

Excellent that Rob's contact is going to be professionally supervised. That means that if he tries to tell Jack off for daring to cry it will all be recorded.

I agree that he's going to try to manipulate Henry. That bit of script about Henry complaining that he couldn't see Daddy was definitely there for a reason.

Gruach · 08/12/2016 10:49

K.D. tweets:

I now have 12 days to write a week of #TheArchers scripts. I've planned them all in detail, but omg it's still an intensive time.

I'm saying nuthin'.

TheAntiBoop · 08/12/2016 10:54

So I was listening to the report about the police using their position to exploit people

I know nothing as bad as the news stories happened, but it did make me think of how Harrison met fallon and then kind of stalked her

glowfrog · 08/12/2016 11:54

It's awful to think how confused Henry must be feeling.

ppeatfruit · 08/12/2016 12:04

Yes I actually laughed aloud at that quote from Susan Fiderer it's true that a lot of gossips don't realise that they do it.

I also enjoyed Kenton and Tobee's double act in the panto rehearsal and Lynda's predictable disgusted sniff BOOP

TheMortificadosDragon · 08/12/2016 12:29

For all his faults, Toby's portrayal of a goose outraged at foie gras was excellentGrin

ppeatfruit · 08/12/2016 12:32

Yes Xmas Grin if Lynda keeps that scene I like to see that panto Xmas Grin

Cromwell1536 · 08/12/2016 12:41

There's is an episode broadcast on Christmas day. So if Rob has contact with Jack, or tries to get contact with Henry and upset everyone's day, or runs off with the children (I hope not) then we'll get it as it happens, I suppose. I didn't quite understand the arrangements - are we to understand that the monthly contact starts immediately? In which case, a calendar month from Rob's last Sunday contact would be....new year's day! Would social workers supervise contact on major public holidays? sorry if that's a naive question.

Am finding the whole thing frustrating at the moment - storyline with Pip, etc. Have been finding other, better radio to listen to while doing yoga practice, and it improves my mood rather than the opposite!
