Roll up roll up! It's nearly Apple Day in Ambridge. Grab a slice of Borset apple cake and see who's got the longest peel in The Archers.

She's going to cave in.

PuppetInParadize · 08/11/2016 19:21

Maybe appointing Knob saved Justin from having to vet and interview lots of candidates. BUT Knob wouldn't be his employee looking for a roof over his head if he hadn't appointed him. Lil should tell him that.Angry

BTW where did Charlie live? Somewhere not in Ambridge I think as he had bother when his broken leg stopped him driving. There is no actual reason why Knob has to live locally - except for dramatic effect.

ColdTeaAgain · 08/11/2016 19:23

Ffs! Why should It have anything to do with what Justin thinks?! And he clearly think Rob is the victim, sounds like he doesn't believe any of what Helen revealed in court. Depressing.

BertrandRussell · 08/11/2016 19:25

Rob will be in that house at the end of the month. This is ridiculous.

ErrolTheDragon · 08/11/2016 20:07

I really don't think Lillian would cave - esp not after some of the conversations she's had with Helen. I'll be very disappointed in the SWs if she does. I'm really hoping that it will feed into supporting Helen to bring rape and/or CC complaint against Rob.

PuppetInParadize · 08/11/2016 20:11

I might have to give up listening if Lilian caves in. SadAngry

Yes she's going to cave in. Rob will blackmail her, rather than Justin.

EsmesBees · 08/11/2016 20:48

Yes you are right Francis. No way Matt would have put up with this nonsense. Renting to her beloved niece's rapist ffs.

ErrolTheDragon · 08/11/2016 20:52

But Rob really doesn't have anything to blackmail her with. I doubt she'd put any slight discomfiture of her own about her liaison with Justin being made public above her loyalty to Helen. And if he threatened to tell Miranda - as I said upthread, surely that would backfire (all the moreso now that Lillian is somewhat pissed off and disillusioned with Justin)

redshoeblueshoe · 08/11/2016 20:57

So now we've got Lil-Bot Angry
For the sw's Biscuit

Alleycat1 · 08/11/2016 21:11

Ffs bring back Tiger! Justin is really showing himself to be a poor judge of character, and appears to have total disregard for Lillian's sensibilities.
I suggest the sws invent a credible reason for Tiger's disappearance. E.g. some heavies put the frighteners on him so he put all Lillian's missing valuables into storage to keep them and Pusscat safe, and left until it is safe to come back. He didn't tell L, as he figured what she didn't know couldn't hurt her. Well, something, anything to get him back in Ambridge!

SerendipityPhenomenon · 08/11/2016 21:24

If Justin seriously thinks that his employee's performance is going to be adversely affected by his housing problems, maybe he should have appointed someone with better powers of concentration and who hadn't done something which could potentially alienate his landlord.

SerendipityPhenomenon · 08/11/2016 21:26

There is no actual reason why Knob has to live locally - except for dramatic effect

I've never understood why he's so hell-bent on living locally when he moans on about how beastly everyone in Ambridge is to him. He could just as easily see My Son whilst living in Felpersham or Borchester.

Imbroglio · 08/11/2016 21:34

If Rob gets a flat from Amside I hope Jenny throws Lilian out of Home Farm.

TheAntiBoop · 08/11/2016 21:40

He wants to be in ambridge to make everyone uncomfortable

We are supposed to believe that Lillian is struggling for money after tiger did a bunk. This hasn't been believable. It will not be believable of she uses this as the reason'dont want to piss off my meal ticket'

Load of old tosh. Hope they don't do it.

And I thought ed and Emma lived in wills house before the flood? Why haven't they gone back?

glowfrog · 08/11/2016 21:43

Just to add to the chorus... Lillian had better not rent that place out to Rob!! Why can't she just say to Justin that since she believes Helen, as far she's concerned he's a rapist and abuser. Then again she may well have told him already. Can't believe she can put up with Justin for hiring Rob in the first place.

enochroot · 08/11/2016 21:55

I'm hoping she won't cave in. I would prefer it if she and Adam crowd-funded Helen's legal fees to persuade her to prosecute him because Justin's line about him not actually having been convicted of anything is the sticking point. Until he's convicted of something, anything, he'll continue to ooze evil over the entire village.

MrsArthurShappey · 08/11/2016 22:18

Ugh it's fucking ridiculous! And I want Lil to tell him where to go herself, she doesn't need Matt ffs. Mind you, I never got the 🐯 ❤️ (only did that because I could 😄)

Also, do David and Ruth actually know that Toby has moved into Rickyard (as opposed to just popping round for booty calls)? Pip was definitely being evasive about what he's 'working on' when David asked.

Vango · 08/11/2016 22:49

And I thought ed and Emma lived in wills house before the flood? Why haven't they gone back?

TheAnti Isn't Tom renting it now? (Ed and Emma having chosen to remain at Grange Farm?

TheAntiBoop · 08/11/2016 22:50

Yes Tom is but I don't remember there was any mention of ed and Emma going back there before the grundys were gifted a house. I also thought it was a bit of a squash at grange farm

Shriek · 08/11/2016 22:57

Knobs movimg close cos he's a knob and thats exactly what knobs do.

Imagine puffed out chest and plenty strutting and you get the picture! still thinks he's a great guy and even better father to 'My son'

Vango · 08/11/2016 23:00

I was under the impression that GF is big enough for all of them. I thought they were relieved that they could all stay?

BertrandRussell · 08/11/2016 23:02

All the bloody Ambridge men are Rob apologists.

Vango · 08/11/2016 23:03

Before Oliver and Caroline had a 'change of heart' there was talk of Clarrie, Eddie and Joe moving to No.1, with Ed and Emma going back to Susan and Neil.
