Roll up roll up! It's nearly Apple Day in Ambridge. Grab a slice of Borset apple cake and see who's got the longest peel in The Archers.

I'm so happy with the return to the little things. Enjoy the new thread!

I reckon Pop will get the last word on Toby. She will break his heart - don't forget he was the one that wanted it to be proper. If they have a love-triangle-two-brother thing it will just be the same as the Emma-Ed-Will thing.

PuppetInParadize · 02/11/2016 15:57

I can barley remember the Woodbine inferno. When did it happen?

PuppetInParadize · 02/11/2016 16:01

barely not barley. I do know the difference! Blush Rushing cos DS wants his laptop back.

Pip would have to be led astray by some other man. Not Rex. To avoid the saminess of the Grundy love triangle. So who should it be?

Stickerrocks · 02/11/2016 16:10

Well Puppet, it obviously has to be Romeo Roy.

ErrolTheDragon · 02/11/2016 18:08

Urgh, no - he's probably not quite old enough to be her father but she's not all that muhc older than phoebe

TheAntiBoop · 02/11/2016 19:12

Roy's love life isn't going to get any more exciting is it. Yawn.

Love the idea of Brian in his cravat!!

ColdTeaAgain · 02/11/2016 19:24

Predictable. I usually like Brian Angry It's all going Rob's way again. Let's just hope they don't drag it out for another two years!

PuppetInParadize · 02/11/2016 19:56

Grin Yeah, i was wondering about Roy the Rover too. But no idea if Pip is into man made fibres. Pip is 26 ish; Roy is in early 40s maybe. Oh dear, as a woman in an age gap marriage, I couldn't possibly comment - though, unlike Roy and Pip, DH and I have always been exceedingly attractive. Grin

LikeDylanInTheMovies · 02/11/2016 20:05

Roy's only 38. He got Kate upduffed very young.

PuppetInParadize · 02/11/2016 20:12

Right then, nothing to stop a Roy/Pip coupling. An age gap any less than 12 1/2 years (precisely) is not worth fretting about IMO.Smile

PuppetInParadize · 02/11/2016 20:14

BTW what's wrong with a first date in a cafe. At lunch time? And it's not a cafe, it's a patisserie. Smile

LikeDylanInTheMovies · 02/11/2016 20:37

And Pip is only 23 and very immature for her age.

LillianGish · 03/11/2016 10:18

It's all going Rob's way again. Let's just hope they don't drag it out for another two years! My feelings exactly. I don't think I can bear to listen to Knob going unchallenged at Damara only to spin things round and blame his incompetence on Adam when it all goes tits up - in other words exactly what happened with Charlie at Berrow Farm still not properly investigated by Justin. And when is Jennifer going to remember Stefan and Knob's culvert blocking shenanigans?

Fink · 03/11/2016 14:03

Wasn't someone asking for the CA comments?

Today's repeat had, 'I hope Neil's sticking to that diet, otherwise Susan might not be dishing up Chile con Carnal ever again!'

ErrolTheDragon · 03/11/2016 14:09

Thanks Fink!

choccyp1g · 03/11/2016 14:17

I'm thinking Roy's online date is going to turn out to be Kirsty.

ErrolTheDragon · 03/11/2016 14:24

DIdn't they both look at the date's photo though?

CheesyWeez · 03/11/2016 17:34

I think Roy and Kirsty both looked at the photo of Roy's date. Kirsty was very admiring so I'm glad Rob wasn't listening and adding weight to his Kirsty-Helen-lesbian-plot theories.

There's a thread just started about whether your neighbours should just walk in when your door's unlocked. Did anyone find it weird that Susan just walked in to look at Brian's "terrible" family portraits?

CheesyWeez · 03/11/2016 17:39

Thanks Fink for the CA. I often listen to the podcast so don't get to hear their comments.
I'd like to imagine they're commenting fondly on their favourite everyday story, but now I think of it I suppose it must be scripted by the Archer's SW or production team

AuldAlliance · 03/11/2016 17:46

Popping in to second the request for CA commentary to be relayed here. I love that last one...!

JasperDamerel · 03/11/2016 18:47

I think that Roy will keep finding the online dates somehow unsatisfactory and keep rushing home to watch TV with Kirsty, or stroll around the community orchard with Kirsty, or grumble about singledom with Kirsty, and Kirsty will do something similar and they will realise that they are in fact in love with each other.

EBearhug · 03/11/2016 19:07

Ah splendid, Rob patronising everyone.

Stickerrocks · 03/11/2016 19:08

I'm spitting feathers at the way Rob is speaking to Shula. Sounds like she is too.

EBearhug · 03/11/2016 19:10

Well, at this rate, he'll have pissed off enough people for Justin to have to sack him, which would be good.

EsmesBees · 03/11/2016 19:10

Oh I really hope Kirsty doesn't get together with Roy. She's my favourite character and has so much potential. I still have hope for her and silent Patrick.
