Roll up roll up! It's nearly Apple Day in Ambridge. Grab a slice of Borset apple cake and see who's got the longest peel in The Archers.

Alan perhaps?

BertrandRussell · 29/10/2016 17:41

Alan. No idea where Adam came from........

Abraiid2 · 29/10/2016 19:31

best way for anyone, lay or cleric, to approach Rob!

ErrolTheDragon · 29/10/2016 22:44

Bloop for Auchmithie!
Grina truly wonderful autocorrect, is it exclusive to Scots?

Yy to puppet's plot for the demise of Rob, except that the agent of his doom will be cellmate Clive Horrobin, who for all his faults wont have Rob dissing family members Susan and Emma.

selsigfach · 30/10/2016 09:45

I heard about this on 6 Music this morning - Steve Lamacq meets Phoebe, Adam and Kate.
here

ppeatfruit · 30/10/2016 10:27

Olivia Grin Top marks for perseverance !!

Gruach · 30/10/2016 10:38

Eurrrgggh!

I'm far too young to listen to Neil and Susan getting it on ... Blush

LikeDylanInTheMovies · 30/10/2016 10:58

Well done Rex for giving Toby a well earned twatting. The sound effects were poor though. Toby and Rex's dust up sounded like someone straining for a jobbie. Who's used the word dweeb in the past 20 years anyway.

ErrolTheDragon · 30/10/2016 11:44

Gruach - but for those of us old enough to remember Susan and Neil getting together (vaguely) its quite nice to know they're still willing and able. Rather them than Pip and Tobes anyway!

TheSilveryPussycat · 30/10/2016 15:24

I listened to the film and quite enjoyed it.

Am pretty sure I can remember Neil and Susan just about to DTD for the first time! (no chilli involved, as far as I can remember nor contraception it would seem )

NotdeadyetBOING · 30/10/2016 16:51

Ah - found you all….!

Was away last week with really crappy internet connection so missed quite a bit. Will admit to being rather relieved to have missed more chilli action from Susan & Neil. I find that all pretty grim, tbh.

I bet Pip will stick with Tobes for faaaar longer than she otherwise would in stubborn way (not wanting to hear 'I told you so' from granny).

selsigfach · 30/10/2016 20:23

Rex is such a maudlin minnie. I want to put my arm round him and tell him that he can do so much better than Pip. Vanisha, maybe?

Minimammoth · 30/10/2016 21:25

Thread disappeared so better contribute quick. I enjoyed this week. Even liked Neyul and Susarn, great that The Archers has got its humour back.

wigglybeezer · 30/10/2016 21:30

Ah Auchmithie is a lovely wee place, home of a great wee restaurant called the But and Ben which still had a proper old - fashioned dessert trolley. Hijack over!

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 30/10/2016 22:29

Alice sounds about 15 these days. It's difficult to decide which of her and Pip is the most annoying. Kate sounds positively sensible compared to the 2 of them.

redshoeblueshoe · 30/10/2016 22:35

I always assumed Knob would follow SOC to Walford, and take Hellin with him.
I can't believe I'm actually looking forward to the Panto storyline

ErrolTheDragon · 30/10/2016 22:52

I wonder where Alan's concern for Rob is going to lead.

nagsandovalballs · 30/10/2016 23:08

Argh you can't point to point a part thoroughbred!!! Ffs, lazy, lazy research. They said she was an event rider, which is a totally different sport from P2P; it would be like saying divers are doing 400m backstroke!

And prizes mean Sod all! I could take my very talented and highly trained mare into a prelim dressage test and win it. But she should really be in a medium class, where I may or may not pick up a place. Similarly, she could be entered into an 80cm class and I'd win, when she should be jumping the 120cm.

Arrrrrrgh!

LikeDylanInTheMovies · 31/10/2016 00:22

I was very glad to hear from Vanisha. I was thinking 'please don't let her have the self same, voice that all the middle-class women in Ambridge have' so I don't have to spend entire episodes trying to figure out whether it is Shula, Caroline, Kate or Lizzie speaking. Thank fuck she's Scottish.

PuppetInParadize · 31/10/2016 01:12

And a Scot that doesn't sound like jazzer. Yes, beeb there is more than one Scottish accent. Grin

DoctorTwo · 31/10/2016 03:56

What are the odds on Vanisha disappearing?

I'll get me coat...

LyndaNotLinda · 31/10/2016 05:56

Even I know that eventing and P2P aren't the same. Honesty it wouldn't take much to check.

Am I the only person who is dismayed by Alice's personality change? She was always a breath of fresh air at Home Farm, taking the piss out of their pretensions and now she's making Kate seem tolerable

BertrandRussell · 31/10/2016 06:36

Is Alan giving Helen the benefit of his healing presence too?
