What day is it again?

OP posts:
redshoeblueshoe · 09/09/2016 19:14

Go Anna

spiker · 09/09/2016 19:14

Maybe Sunday will be the jurors only

redshoeblueshoe · 09/09/2016 19:15

I hope so spiker

officerhinrika · 09/09/2016 19:16

No judges summing up? Rats

spiker · 09/09/2016 19:17

I thought summing up happened before the jury retires - is that incorrect??

Olympiathequeen · 09/09/2016 19:19

I think, like the helrob story where a lot went on out of earshot, a lot of the trial evidence must have gone on without transmission. Bit disappointing but I guess not a lot you an do in such a short time.

I think it's it's all been left a bit could go either way to add to the tension. So we won't have a lovely destruction of rob and his lies in the witness box.

LillianGish · 09/09/2016 19:19

Unsatisfactory. We didn't hear Anna cross-examine Knob, didn't hear the judge summing up, basically left open so it could go either way. Waste of an episode in my view.

ErrolTheDragon · 09/09/2016 19:20

Well hooray for twitter if it got rid of that loathsome juror.

ErrolTheDragon · 09/09/2016 19:24

We didn't hear Neil either, which would have been refreshingly solid and unshocking.

I don't know about the idea of sunday being the jurors deliberations - even presuming that not all would be very vocal, it would be a set of unknown voices.

selsigfach · 09/09/2016 19:24

Yep, gutted we didn't hear Anna tearing Knob to shreds.
Oof, how the hell am I meant to wait until Sunday?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 09/09/2016 19:24

48 hours to wait now! I can't do it. My husband has just said (incomprehensibly) that it's my choice to listen. Hmm

Loved that Downfall link!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 09/09/2016 19:26

Didn't they do that for the outcome of Tom's and Kirsty's GM crops sabotage trial - have an entire episode (normal length) that was just the jury deliberating?

Cromwell1536 · 09/09/2016 19:27

Agree with you LilGish. Pants episode. Rob allowed to emote in the witness box with no check upon his grandstanding. Where was the strategic demolition of his facade (walking with the stick being an obvious case); the exposure of lies by the production of evidence such as a school admissions form; the probing of bizarre behaviour like denying money or putting a tracker on Hellin's phone? Huh. I have been waiting 24 hours for this, and it's not good enough!

Vango · 09/09/2016 19:28

I must say, there's not a lot to be gained from being a long-term listener right now! So many loose ends and unanswered questions. I think she'll be guilty of wounding with intent, and be released having already served her sentence on remand.

Tuktuktaker · 09/09/2016 19:29

Godawful episode. Not sure the hour long one listening to stars in the jury deliberate will be any better: 12 Angry People, now 11.

Tuktuktaker · 09/09/2016 19:31

Sorry, the link should be: 12 Angry People, now 8.

Angiepoise · 09/09/2016 19:32

Have you seen that there will be a jury deliberations episode on Sun with a "stellar cast".

Sigh. They could have saved the budget and just developed existing plot lines.

drspouse · 09/09/2016 19:33

Well I opened the thread to placemark, good grief that took a long time to get to the end of the thread!

Scorbus · 09/09/2016 19:33

After the acting we've had recently that was very disappointing. Hoping Sunday makes up for it.

ErrolTheDragon · 09/09/2016 19:34

One of them's Graham Seed trying not to sound like Nigel.

redshoeblueshoe · 09/09/2016 19:38

Yes and bloody Nigel Havers, I said ages ago he would end up on TA, as he is best mates with Justin

ColdTeaAgain · 09/09/2016 19:39

All feels a bit of an anti climax now. So many things we didn't get to hear Rob being challenged on. Let's hope Sunday is good!

enochroot · 09/09/2016 19:40

It's SOC's last episode. At last. Finally.

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 09/09/2016 19:41

Well. I think they've proved a difficult trial can't be covered in 5 x13 mins. Very unstatisfactory. SO much important stuff missed out. Disappointed about Neil.

Vango · 09/09/2016 19:41

Maybe on Sunday we'll get to hear the jury discussing some of the evidence that was left out of the broadcast episodes this week? Neil's testimony, Anna's final cross examination etc?
