What day is it again?

OP posts:
Greengager · 08/09/2016 10:09

xmas he's working as the estate manager for Justin. A job that will possibly cover the 30k+ needed to employ a full time nanny.

xmasadsboohiss · 08/09/2016 10:14

Thanks Errol - those fields must be full of weeds or cattle have gone roaming or whatever. Does Knobface know that shagging Adam is part of the JD?

CeciledeVolanges · 08/09/2016 10:14

dragons you are thinking of Son of Knob, Jack/Gideon's previous name.

ibrowze · 08/09/2016 10:16

Playing Charades in the hols and someone was doing James Bond impression.
DS (11) shouted out 'Sean O'Connor'

Is nothing sacred?

JudyCoolibar · 08/09/2016 10:17

Surely Lil will make a massive fuss if Justin insists on employing the man who repeatedly raped her niece? I don't see how he could possibly justify that to her. It could well be a "Knob goes or I do" scenario.

tomtherabbit · 08/09/2016 10:20

ibrowze no spoilers!

ibrowze · 08/09/2016 10:22

judy Justin is business man first and not in lurve with Lil so most likely to keep Knob. hopes Matt comes back from Costa Coffee

redshoeblueshoe · 08/09/2016 10:26

ibrowze Shock you will be toast if Olivia sees that !

DadDadDad · 08/09/2016 10:26

Yes, but Justin's known Lil for a while and trusted her judgement on some matters, so if he backed Rob, it would effectively be telling Lil that he no longer trusts her judgement. (Unless Lil agrees that Helen was lying about rape). So, Lil would at the very least have a cooling of friendship with Justin.

redshoeblueshoe · 08/09/2016 10:28

But then Justin will be homeless as Lil would kick him out

ibrowze · 08/09/2016 10:32

tom
Sorry I just cribbed from Beeb website. (new to this thread)

Toomuchtea · 08/09/2016 10:32

If Rob hasn't actually started his job yet, can the offer be withdrawn? If I were Justin I would be very tempted to at least consider it, or put the offer on hold until the outcome of the trial was certain. I have no idea whether that's legal or not - anyone out there with any idea?

ibrowze · 08/09/2016 10:34

Redshoes Really? Why? Is Matt out of favour?

SingingAvocado · 08/09/2016 10:40

ibrowze I too pasted a summary of a future episode from the BBC website on my first foray onto this site and was told off! Haven't dared to post since. I haven't listened to TA all summer hols but listened to Sunday's omnibus last night to catch up.

doceodocere · 08/09/2016 10:43

I might just have to listen to last night's episode after reading all these comments - haven't tuned in since The Stabbing, it all became too much for me.

ErrolTheDragon · 08/09/2016 10:43

ibrowze, there's a 'spoilers' thread - I haven't been on it but presumably that's the place for more informed speculation Smile

ErrolTheDragon · 08/09/2016 10:44

Spoilers Thread

dragonsarebest · 08/09/2016 10:54

Cecile yes, you're right. Must keep up!

ibrowze · 08/09/2016 10:56

SingingAvocado BlushCake

ibrowze · 08/09/2016 11:01

Errol thanks for link. Goodness thought I had a life before all this. Now I'm just a bit player in my own soap opera listening reading threads about RL (TA) Confused

ibrowze · 08/09/2016 11:46

topazrocks
Thanks for lovely welcome to newbies yesterday. Apologies to all if I get/got MN etiquette wrong on this thread.
I've been listening to TA for a long time.
Remember exactly where I was when Polly Perks was killed by milk tanker and before then when Jack Wooley proposed to Peggy the first time in early 70s. Yup I'm old. Wink

mummytime · 08/09/2016 11:47

People here aren't really too scarey about spoilers.
BUT Olivia is, as she often has to catch up and doesn't want it spoilt. We're only allowed the spoiler thread as long as we "play nicely" so she doesn't have to moderate it.

DadDadDad · 08/09/2016 11:48

Singing and ibrowse - I hope you won't be put off posting here. There's nothing in the title or OP of this thread to tell new people that they shouldn't post spoilers, so it's going to happen from time to time.

There is a bit of a gentleman's* agreement on here that we don't mention trailers / listings of future broadcasts, and use the separate thread for that. To be honest, a lot of the BBC's descriptions are intentionally a bit bland or cryptic, so a lot of the time it's not that big of a spoiler to read them. And the speculation / analysis of them on that other thread can be fun.

*yes, totally the wrong word for MN - I await my roasting...

BoffinMum · 08/09/2016 11:53

In the absence of a proper psychiatric evaluation, is it normal in courts in 2016 to listen uncritically to one person bang about supposed 'instability' like an aggrieved Victorian husband, and for everyone to suck it up without wondering about evidence for what is a very serious yet vague assertion? Surely jaws would drop and surely Anna Tregorran would have demanded an expert report regarding her client's state of mind?

BoffinMum · 08/09/2016 11:55

And shouldn't they have demanded an expert report on Rob's state of mind. All the armchair psychiatrists have diagnosed his narcissism without any problem at all Wink
