Oh, at last. Goodness, that was wrenching.

MrsCampbellBlack · 06/09/2016 19:17

I have also filled up. Poor Helen.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 06/09/2016 19:17

Oh dear. Poor Helen. Very emotional here but at least she got it out at last.

ColdTeaAgain · 06/09/2016 19:17

Argh need to get the three year old to bed so I can listen, why is she SO awake?!

MrsCampbellBlack · 06/09/2016 19:17

Bloody Peggy though.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 06/09/2016 19:18

Yes! Well done Helen.

bakeoffcake · 06/09/2016 19:18

At Last!!

Brilliant acting there from Louisa.

Gruach · 06/09/2016 19:18

Wow.

However, Pat is right, Helen did sound too strong. (I have known judges to say, with regret, that if a female victim had only cried a little in the witness box the jury might have convicted her attacker.)

Olympiathequeen · 06/09/2016 19:18

Omg. I thought it was 'just' a couple of times. But over and over again! No wonder she was so traumatised and unable to function Sad

Vango · 06/09/2016 19:18

I'm crying. Fantastic acting.

WhereTheFuckIsWonderWoman · 06/09/2016 19:19

I'm sobbing Blush thank goodness for that. Well done Helen!

Gumpendorf · 06/09/2016 19:19

Stopped cooking dinner with the knife in my hand and listened. Just like stab night.

Well done Helen, very well done. (And Louiza was pretty good) Flowers

Gruach · 06/09/2016 19:19

(Obviously that was never said in open court ...)

bakeoffcake · 06/09/2016 19:20

What a blooming relief she's got it out.

I presume Anna was being told the helpline lady had turned up at the court?

EmilyDickinson · 06/09/2016 19:20

So glad Helen's finally told everyone what's she's been going through. Though what will it do to poor Jack growing up knowing that he's the result of a rape?

WhereTheFuckIsWonderWoman · 06/09/2016 19:20

Olympia me too. If it was over and over again no wonder she's been so scared to say it Sad

Step away from the custard Wink

selsigfach · 06/09/2016 19:20

If I were the judge, I would clear the viewing gallery. We've waited sooooo long to hear Helen talk but it's all muted by sodding Pat. I'm actually going to complain to feedback. Every bloody night this has happened.

BurnTheBlackSuit · 06/09/2016 19:21

But by the time she was talking about rape, she was emotional and not rehersed?

Brokenbiscuit · 06/09/2016 19:21

Wow. I'm only a half regular listener but have followed Helen's story, and that just had me in bits. Glad she finally said it.

LyndaNotLinda · 06/09/2016 19:21

Fabulous Louiza

JudyCoolibar · 06/09/2016 19:23

Actually, Helen didn't sound strong when she talked about the rapes, so I would hope she has counteracted any previous impression that she's too strong. I guess now they'll call Rob to refute that, and please let that be the point where Anna takes him apart.

Pat is now officially almost as annoying as HWMNBN.

MrsCampbellBlack · 06/09/2016 19:23

I wondered if the whole 'I need to speak to my assistant' thing by Anna was just her technique of trying to get Helen to open up in court.

Fink · 06/09/2016 19:23

Who was Anna talking about 'she's here'? Max? I didn't understand that bit.

BurnTheBlackSuit · 06/09/2016 19:23

The constant chatting by relative is very wearying and I do keep yelling at the to shut up. But I did have to laugh when there was a gasp from the courtroom and THAT is what they got told off for (talking in loud voices is ok?!)
