Will this thread see the end of The Trial? And SOC?

Here's hoping it's a premonition of things to come Random! Seems a long time since the war of the roses.

I had a dream that I grew a giant marrow and upset the regulars at the Flower and Produce Show Blush

And Jim! Where's he gone? I miss the Latin, his chats with Jazzer and rivalry with Robert. So many characters have been sidelined this year. Caroline seems to have returned from Italy a changed person. I used to like her before.

Yes, it would be good to hear from the rest of the Tuckers. Actually, getting rid of them was probably the thing which was worse than some of SOCs more elaborate schemes.

Phoebes lift to oxford - oh please not either Jenny or Kate. Roy or Alice wouldn't embarrass her.

An update from Vicky and Bethany would be nice. Who do we think will be driving Phoebe up to Oxford?

Ive just googled giant marrows and feel a bit sick. They're all a bit knobbly.

Yes, its Nic. Presumably shes mostly back at the cottage with Poppy (how old is she now?), on the school run etc.

RandomDent · 10/09/2016 20:11

Oh is this still open? Good. I think we're always a bit quick to move. :)
What's Will's wife called? Is it Nic? What happened to her?

Its OK, we know there's a new thread. Some of us just wanted to hang here a while longer and witter about whats going on in the real world back in Ambridge. Has Adam managed to finish his drilling despite Alice trashing the humungous machine (technical term)? Has anyone grown a good marrow this year?

George is def a Del Boy in the making. :)

I agree. I wonder what temptations secondary school might throw up?

Report
ErrolTheDragon · 08/09/2016 11:21

Yes, I think George is being set up as the next Grundy to indulge in mildly dodgy dealing.

Report
Vango · 08/09/2016 11:17

On the subject of George, I find myself wondering occasionally about Alan's missing money and George's mysterious 'savings'. I was looking forward to that storyline developing.

Phoebe shouldn't need too much IKEA stuff for an Oxford college though, should she?

Report
EmilyDickinson · 08/09/2016 10:32

And I don't think we've heard how George's first day at secondary school went have we? There'll be a lot of catching up to do once the trial's finished.

Report
EmilyDickinson · 08/09/2016 10:31

Jennie and Phoebe should be doing a trip to their nearest IKEA to stick up around now. Josh should be looking around for extra work to fill his gap year.

I would rather hear that than Joe attempting to emotionally blackmail everyone around him, to be frank.

Report
ErrolTheDragon · 08/09/2016 10:01

Phoebe's relationship with Roy is very good now. She's probably doing stuff with her friends and avoiding becoming a yurt-skivvy.

Report
CeciledeVolanges · 08/09/2016 09:57

Where is Phoebe just now? I presume she is still having an unhappy and disruptive home life because of Kate? Is she going out with friends? Do normal 18 year olds spend the summer at home with their grandparents? How is her relationship with Roy?

Report
ErrolTheDragon · 08/09/2016 09:55

Perhaps we could fill up this one with discussion of whether Oliver and Caroline really will turf out the Grundies and whether Joe will die happy in his own bed? Shouldn't we at this stage be hearing from Jennifer fussing about Phoebe going off to Oxford in a few weeks?

Some pp are stating that whether or not Helen is guilty is not in question as she is. But I had a colleague on the jury of a murder case where a woman had murdered her partner. The fact that she had murdered him was not in question. But she was found not guilty as her defence was she could not run away from her violent partner as her children were in the house and she could not leave them. The jury accepted this.
Besides,Helen surely could not plead not guilty if it were legally impossible for her to be found not guilty.
