A once-great soap is going down the Beverley drain.

It was quite frustrating that poor Ian got an award but wasn't allowed to speak.

AnnieNoMouse · 08/07/2016 23:13

Like Helen would win. These events never give an attempted murderer a prize.

Sorry but the last few episodes with the honourable exception of Kaz's contribution have been drivel. Yes , I know Kaz is a cliché, the lag with the golden heart, but listening to her doesn't make my teeth ache.

Pip is , well what can one say? I neither know nor care which of the Fairbrethen she "went up Laikey Hill with" (and to be fair I'm really hoping that catches on as an MN catch phrase).

I anticipate an episode where no one speaks except Pip and random Fairbrethen

I do like Ian. I still fondly remember the cake dropping tragedy averted.

Read about Helen winning and for a joyous half-second thought that she'd won the court case and the whole grisly story was over.

Shall have to sob and swig on.

ppeatfruit · 09/07/2016 13:58

Why would we feel sorry for Miranda? According to Justin she doesn't give a shit about him or the marriage (prefers her horses) apart , I suppose, for the status conferred on her by him. That might sound misogynistic but there are women like that. At last Helen is ringing people and sounding more like herself BOOP for that.

GeorgeTheThird · 09/07/2016 18:46

according to Justin

But what would MN say about that?!!

redshoeblueshoe · 09/07/2016 19:57

MN would say all men who cheat on their wives say the same thing, that she is mad/bad/sad. I can't imagine they ever say my wife is the most wonderful amazing woman I've ever met.
I wish Helen would remember these are the kind of things she said about Jess.

Gruach · 10/07/2016 06:14

Vintage Eddie -

This is so lovely!

ppeatfruit · 10/07/2016 08:27

Gruach That was great thank you Flowers I LOVED the change in accent from Eddie to Trevor Harrison?? the actor!! Soo funny. Was that today's J'lene I wonder?

The character of Miranda does seem to bear out Justin's opinions. redshoes

Eastpoint · 10/07/2016 09:25

I loved that change too - brilliant as he's presumably had lots of non-Archers work since he took the role.

dulcefarniente · 10/07/2016 09:59

Just catching up. I see Rex as a Tipuric or Faletau type but Tobes as more of a Guscott

GypsyFl0ss · 10/07/2016 11:05

Just listening to TobesnPip in the film, now I need ear bleach. Bleurgh. Definitely a Lakey Hill baby in the making there.

Gruach · 10/07/2016 19:07

Oh dear, I've gone off him already ...Sad

EBearhug · 10/07/2016 19:12

I see Rex as a Tipuric or Faletau type but Tobes as more of a Guscott

Please can you translate this into English?

Gruach · 10/07/2016 19:14

Guscott was exceedingly pretty. Even I remember him. Grin

TheAntiBoop · 10/07/2016 19:14

Who what where gruach?

I don't think I could have sex with a man who had had sex with my sister. Do you think Rex will be turned off pip now?

KingscoteStaff · 10/07/2016 19:17

Bulldozer?
No....

Bullfinch?
No...
I give up.

My lovely rusty bolt! May I take it to bed with me?

BoreOfWhabylon · 10/07/2016 19:22

So, Grandpa Brute is about to arrive.

Didn't he once mention not being to keen on Knob "raising Hellin's brat" or words to that effect?

Henwee might be spending more time with Panettone during his visit.

BoreOfWhabylon · 10/07/2016 19:22

too keen

Gruach · 10/07/2016 19:23

B for ... all the blood that came out of you Daddy! When that naughty knife jumped out of my hand! It made a lot of mess ...

Cricketers - but I'm not familiar with any of the other names.

EasyToEatTiger · 10/07/2016 20:13

I heard tonight's episode and I thought Henwee was thinking Bloood too! Especially since he wants all the knives locked up and not his mummy. Helen is on remand. How long is it since she's been banged up? Oddly nobody seems to have noticed or cared.

JudyCoolibar · 10/07/2016 20:14

Why was Toby so preoccupied and out of breath when Pip turned up? Was he mid-wank?

TheAntiBoop · 10/07/2016 20:17

The most likely answer

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 10/07/2016 20:53

Pip and whoever- bleurgh.

Is Henwee actually Benjamin Button? He sounds about 3.
