I accept that it is characteristic for women in Helen's position to be so severely affected by their abuse that they find it difficult to explain to themselves what has happened, let alone to other people. But FFS, we're less than three months off the trial. Surely just for the purpose of moving the story forward in a vaguely credible manner, Helen has to stop feeling sorry for herself and going on about how useless she is, and begin fighting back? Please don't tell me that they're going to leave all of this to a sudden revelation in the witness box combined with the miracoulous reappearance of Jess?

Certainly can't recall one before. She had told Neil it was a llama-related emergency, which is more credible. I think it may have been Eddie and/or Brian spreading libellous rumours about the hangover.

I think the Roy Kate chat was symptomatic of everything that's wrong with The Archer and why it is no longer convincing - it talked about parenting (hate that word) Phoebe without even acknowledging the existence of Hayley and about Kate's skills as a mother with no mention of her other two children. If the SW can't be arsed to keep up with the characters they've written why should we? Kate's children have been completely airbrushed from history - they'll probably be reintroduced in about 25 years time, much like the Faurbrethren, although at least we should be blue to tell them apart as they are brother and sister.

Agree BOOP. I find the whole concept of Dorothy totally alien. I've also been wondering why TA has been particularly singled out for budget slashing so that they can only now afford 3 or 4 speaking parts per episode. Or is it that TA is so awesome that all the characters are massively in demand to appear elsewhere in the performing arts world? This doesn't happen in other programmes or telly soaps does it? (not suggesting for a nanosecond that TA is a soap of course).
