I've just browsed Lowfield for the first time - they really don't like Pat do they!

When are they reviewing Henry's residence?

Did the judge set a date?

enochroot · 01/06/2016 19:44

It is to be reviewed sometime in June.

cheminotte · 01/06/2016 19:46

Augusta - wouldn't any correspondence be read by the prison authorities?

Thymeout · 01/06/2016 19:53

He doesn't have to communicate with Helen. He can mess up the access arrangements with BF by poisoning Henry's mind so he doesn't want to go there. Even worse, brainwash him against his mother. Or decamp to the Titchener family home so travel is a problem. Or boarding school could raise its ugly head again. Tho' that could be a blessing in the circs.

I think the message would get through.

Gumpendorf · 01/06/2016 19:53

Henry is only with Rob on a temporary order and they are due to return to court this month. I thought that was to allow social services to properly investigate what was best for Henry. Have they? Rob is clearly not strong enough to look after Henry, and Ursula is finding it a bit tiring (as was Tony tbh).

And FFS what's up with Peggy, blaming herself and neither she nor Lillian seeing the link between Rob's temper and Helen's predicament. Angry

It's curious that Lillian is consistently the one who casually brushes aside mentions of Helen with a 'lunch', 'let's shop' remark. What's that about?

Anyhow, I'm getting weary of these scenes contriving to create the prospect of a future drama but being lacking in themselves. I agree with Lillian's assessment a few posts ago. It's badly done, SOC, very badly done.

Boomingmarvellous · 01/06/2016 19:58

I just hope that knobs efforts to intimidate Hellin into giving him custard y of SOK backfire on him and his threats and intimidation are recorded by the prison authorities and used in evidence at the trial.

Priceless knowing peggoi was bound to drop the name bombshell as we all knew what knob would do! For once listened in delight as it unfolded instead of dread!

Gumpendorf · 01/06/2016 19:59

Crossed posts on residency review. Slow phone tapping on my part.

I think this is the beginning of Rob losing his temper more as Helen's position means he can't manipulate her to get his own way. His temper was on show more publicly before he and Helen married. If that makes any sense. Confused

AugustaFinkNottle · 01/06/2016 20:03

Yes, correspondence would be read by prison authorities. However, I'm sure that Rob could, if he put his mind to it, phrase his threats in a way which is clear to Helen but not to the prison authorities.

Gumpendorf · 01/06/2016 20:04

I did wonder whether Peggy waited until Helen had registered the birth before telling Rob, but I'm sure her delay was waiting for the photos and getting the frame.

It's still amazing that no-one mentioned the name to Rob. Didn't they tell Henry on his Sunday visit?

enochroot · 01/06/2016 20:24

Ursula must be dead on her feet by now. The last thing she wants is a newborn in the house.

elpth · 01/06/2016 20:25

Also had Rob communicated to Helen in any way that he wanted the name to be Gideon? As obviously she's going to call the baby something and even he can't expect her to be telepathic. Clearly he is an abusive arse but even if you pretended he wasn't for a moment and looked at it from his and Arsula's point of view, they're still wrong.

GrumpyOldBag · 01/06/2016 20:25

But it's pretty dim of Ursula not to think that Helen would want to have a say in the naming of her son ...

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 01/06/2016 20:36

They think Helen is a mere husk of a woman, kept in shackles and solitary confinement and stripped of all her civil rights because of what she's done. Sad Hence it never occurred to them that she might be allowed to register the birth. Did we all notice that when Peggy was explaining about the pre-eclampsia he said venomously that Helen was a very sickly woman? Prat.

GypsyFl0ss · 01/06/2016 20:43

Do you know what I hate hearing? Knob calling Helen a bitch. I love swearing but I hate hearing that word used and I find it so hard to believe that Ursula would allow him to say it without passing comment , even a faint " Robert please".

elephantoverthehill · 01/06/2016 20:44

My thoughts exactly. Ursula and Rob think that Helen has no rights, they didn't even before she was charged. They do not live in the 'real world' even if the 'real world' is, ahem, a ficticious one.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 01/06/2016 21:15

Gypsy, my hunch is that Ursula is so desensitised after years of being verbally abused by Bruce that she scarcely even notices it.

BlackeyedSusan · 01/06/2016 21:39

so relieved that helen registered the baby as Jack.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 01/06/2016 22:00

Yes, I punched the air at that point! Thank goodness for small mercies.

ElfinStardust · 01/06/2016 22:15

"My Gideon" Grin

GypsyFl0ss · 01/06/2016 22:27

You're right Gasp0de. It just really offends my ears especially when there are generally no other similar words used on TA.

EBearhug · 01/06/2016 22:27

Yes, I punched the air at that point!

So did I.

It's possible that I shouldn't drive while listening to the Archers...

GypsyFl0ss · 01/06/2016 22:28

Loving that Jack ain't Gideon though. Good luck with that battle Knob!

GypsyFl0ss · 01/06/2016 22:32

That's a great link Gasp. What an interesting other life he has.

PseudoBadger · 01/06/2016 22:33
