I do hope Lynda has a carbon monoxide monitor in there...

Not me Gruach. But then (you may, possibly, have noticed) I have never identified with Helen.

"It wouldn't come off the floor easily I knew it must be Birds" Grin

EBearhug · 21/04/2016 09:39

Tom and Pip are second cousins.

I have not been feeling awkward around knives, despite having managed to flick a vegetable parer off the work surface, so that it twirled through the air and landed upright in the floor. Lucky my foot had moved from that point...

ppeatfruit · 21/04/2016 09:42

Gruach I have always viewed our knives with suspicion. DH likes to keep them very sharp Shock I hide the holder out of sight of our kitchen front window\door!

Am I paranoid? Grin

ppeatfruit · 21/04/2016 09:43

Good for making stews and smoothies etc. though!

trevortrevorslatterfry · 21/04/2016 09:51

Gypsy The Achers isn't a bad alternative name for the show at the moment!

Your post reminded me of the Lost Consonants series.

ppeat I've never allowed a knife block into the house!

But now, as I approach the most businesslike bit of steel in the kitchen I'm thinking "If the police catch me with this ..."Confused

"If the police catch me with this ..."

Ah, I do have that worry. Being middle-aged-sensible and always Prepared (â„¢ Baden Powell), I have a tupperware box picnic set in the car that contains a small fruit knife. I live in dread of the day when I get done for 'carrying'.

ppeatfruit · 21/04/2016 10:06

Well you're right to be R4 I just remembered that swiss army knives aren't allowed on planes now!

R4 · 21/04/2016 10:12

Not just swiss army knives. I once almost had my favourite nailfile confiscated but they relented, thank goodness.

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut · 21/04/2016 10:38

Ha ha ha at Lynda and Eddie. That's what I was taking about. Loved "never you mind!" when Eddie was probing Lynda about what she and Robert might have been up to.

I'm of the opinion Lynda and Robert adore each other and have a healthy sex life I'd rather not think about anyone in Ambridge having sex thank you very much

Pip will end up with Rex. Maybe Tom will have a sort of displacement thing under the pressure of Hellin's situation and fall hopelessly and unhealthily for Pip? Maybe mistaking her interest in his cows for interest in him.

Kirsty must continue to be utterly scathing of Tom because I'll be really, really cross if she takes him back again. She deserves more so it's going to need to be some external character or maybe she and Rex would be a good fit?

BYOSnowman · 21/04/2016 11:03

Why would anyone fall for pip? She's the most unlike able character

StubbleTurnips · 21/04/2016 13:03

BOOP for Eddie and Lynda, was proper laughing when he suggested they bounce on the 'bed' to test it. I imagined a little Wink came after that line Grin

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 21/04/2016 13:07

BYOs because she is attractive, witty and brilliant at farming. ApparentlyHmm

BYOSnowman · 21/04/2016 13:50

Small - yes that's clearly what they think they are writing but it's not what I'm hearing

She's an arrogant twat

BYOSnowman · 21/04/2016 13:51

the female version of soc

xmasadsboohiss · 21/04/2016 14:13

What stood out for me last night was what Ruth did with the word 'presentation'. It was so hashed I can't even write it phonetically!

On HelRob - love it or loath the SL it's head and shoulders above Kenton and his wife discussing their next promotional event. Mega yawn! Plus the HelRob actors are so much better than most of the others - the sound of his voice as he languished in his hospital bed sent shivers down my spine! Very talented actor.

WhiffyBiffer · 21/04/2016 14:15

I've been lurking whilst avidly listening and enjoying the analysis on here!

Still feeling quite disturbed and unsettled about the Rob & Helen storyline. It's really bothering me that Henry isn't allowed to see his mum. She hasn't been convicted of anything yet. Could this really happen? Wondered if there was anyone in the know.

Surely the thrust of the children act is that the needs of the child are paramount. It's v important to maintain contact. Why couldn't Henry have supervised contact with Helen on the basis she doesn't discuss the case with him? Even kids that have been removed have supervised contact don't they.

And if there is a suggestion Rob could be abusive, wouldn't Henry not be allowed to see him alone?

So many questions!

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 21/04/2016 16:32

No Pat, I'm not asleep - SHIVER!

JessieMcJessie · 21/04/2016 16:40

I know, with the added frisson of not having heard that voice for a while - I actually said out loud to my empty kitchen "oh, he's so CHILLING!"

PseudoBadger · 21/04/2016 19:05

Rob last night reminded me of a Red Dwarf classic - Mr Flibble:

More mischief with the background music - Allegri's Miserere playing as Brian grimly endures Lil's witless twitterings....

Boomingmarvellous · 21/04/2016 19:09

Saint Shula has got selective amnesia. Doesn't dare remember that she actually lied to the police.

Shallishanti · 21/04/2016 19:12

'testing the mattress'...ooo..er missus

Gumpendorf · 21/04/2016 19:22

Doesn't dare remember that she actually lied to the police.

Aka perverting the course of justice Wink
