Damn. Thought at first they said they'd done a tracheostomy rather than thoracostomy.

Love the thought of Rob being alive but unable to speak.

TeatimeForTheSoul · 04/04/2016 19:17

Any Police on here to know if this is how it would proceed?
Sounds very much like US police drama plot.

Gherkinsmummy · 04/04/2016 19:17

And the prejudice remarks from the doctor.

Vango · 04/04/2016 19:17

Louiza is a brilliant actress. Pity her character is general so unsympathetic. I feel much better after tonight's episode. He will recover.

ColdTeaAgain · 04/04/2016 19:18

Agree about terrible acting of the extras. So cold.

tibbawyrots · 04/04/2016 19:18

That was hard going.

Wolpertinger · 04/04/2016 19:18

Medically it wasn't dreadful. Except for a doctor being there at the same speed as the police - would have needed the air ambulance for that plus lots of on the ground faffing around time.

Am glad Rob isn't dead. Wish Helen had murdered Pat and Peggy though.

MrsCampbellBlack · 04/04/2016 19:19

Thank god Kirsty is going but I really wanted her to yell at Tony to get Helen a solicitor.

JessTitchener · 04/04/2016 19:19

Is it me or was tonight's episode a few minutes shorter than usual?

Putthetulipsthere · 04/04/2016 19:19

Still no one says anything against Knob. Why wouldn't Kirsty say he was abusive? And about to attack Henry????

I said I wasn't going to listen again, but curiosity got the better of me. But that was ricululously bad - surely they wouldn't put her in handcuffs?

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 04/04/2016 19:19

I thought the one plus has been Louiza's acting. Poor thing must be dizzy from all that hyperventilating and covered in snot

Anyway, 3 wounds at least, wond to wrist posdibly defensive, but adomonl wounds and chest wound.

Guilty.
Plus she said something to K that clearly indicated she wants him to be dead.

Stickerrocks · 04/04/2016 19:19

Helen has been arrested. We hope the police understand that she is a victim of serious domestic abuse #thearchers - The Women's Aid Tweet

iisme · 04/04/2016 19:19

Oh my god, it's not looking good for Helen. Serious, life-threatening injuries to knob and not a scratch on her or Henry. I have to say, the world's least convincing child actor slightly ruined the vibe for me. 'But why are they taking my mummy away', delivered as if he was asking about something totally ordinary. Is there seriously a child in the world of any age who wouldn't be in tears/hysterics at that point?

PseudoBadger · 04/04/2016 19:19

I should warn you that new title includes 'taken into custardy' Grin

jellycake · 04/04/2016 19:19

Shorter because they recapped last night I think

IorekByrnisonsArmour · 04/04/2016 19:21

As Harrison turned up, all I could think was

Will Fallon be implicated as her pie will be there or will Harrison eat the evidence?

Taking an obviously pregnant woman out in handcuffs? I hope that's just crappy research Sad

Wordsaremything · 04/04/2016 19:21

Agree Vango Louiza was brilliant.
Knob resurgam.
Good.
Don't diss the extras. They were doing their best Grin

Stickerrocks · 04/04/2016 19:21

Can I say that it's been utterly nervewracking presenting @BBCFrontRow in the past week straight off the back of #thearchers - Samira Ahmed's Tweet

plimsolls · 04/04/2016 19:21

I heard Kirsty saying something as they were taking Helen away which implied she'd (off-air) been trying to explain about Rob and the abuse.

redshoeblueshoe · 04/04/2016 19:21

BitOutOfPractise I posted exactly the same thing at the 600th post on this thread.

ColdTeaAgain · 04/04/2016 19:22

Henry's acting was so weird. He didn't sound that bothered, just a bit confused really. A 5 year old in that situation would be terrified, although if he had sounded more upset/ frightened it probably would of had me blubbing!

R4 · 04/04/2016 19:22

Meh. I don't think we needed a continuation scene. Pat and Tone talking over breakfast or villagers gossiping would have been better.
Did that blow their actor budget for the month?

YesterdayOnceMore · 04/04/2016 19:22

I'd handcuff her if I was the police. She has just stabbed someone. They have no idea why. They don't know her or what (else) she might be capable of.

You'd think they would make sure Henry was well out of the way before Helen was walked out in handcuffs though. Although the child doesn't seem remotely bothered by anything and thinks rob was just lying down. I don't think the scriptwriters have met a 5 year old before. As Henry is oblivious to everything around him, I think he'll be just fine long term.

Stickerrocks · 04/04/2016 19:23

There is also a Twitter campaign aiming to get Peggy wrongly convicted of the crime as she got there so quickly. At least the police said Helen was arrested on suspicion of wounding rather than attempted murder.
