I was shocked tonight to say the least, made for quite unpleasant listening, anyone know what will happen next?!

YesterdayOnceMore · 03/04/2016 22:53

Bertrand- is the vanilla from a pod?

glowfrog · 03/04/2016 22:53

PS Bertrand, is it semi-skimmed or full-fat milk, or does it not matter?

YesterdayOnceMore · 03/04/2016 22:55

PS Thank You Bertrand!

I found the Kirsty thing confusing. I thought she was there because Helen was leaving but she then disappeared and god knows why you'd bring a pie round to your friend being abused by a husband who hates you when he's about to come home unless you plan to hit him in the face with it. It didn't make sense because it didn't make sense.
If Helen really planned to leave she'd have told Rob making custard was a pain in the bum and he can make it if it's so easy.
Going from "yes Rob I'll make your faffy custard" to "you'll never see your unborn child" was mental.

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 03/04/2016 22:56

stealth K came to see H. R due home.
H tells K she is leaving after supper.
Rob comes in H shoves K.out back door.
R finds suitcase. H lies says it is hospital bag.
K leaves while R in shower.
R puts music on for supper.
Argument ensues.
R tells H only way she will leave is if she kills herself hands her a knife.
Henry wakes up. R goes for him. In ensuing struggle R is stabbed.
H sticks Hen in front of dvd.
K phones. H says she has killed him
R, H and Hen all still at BHC.
Dum dum duh da duh da oh no hang on a minute wrong feme tune this in dum tee dum not EE.

JessieMcJessie · 03/04/2016 22:57

sawdustinmyhair what did you mean by "in the early days of the stab-panic" when talking about kids not understanding they had killed their victims?

2rebecca · 03/04/2016 22:57

It's the end of Helen living with him. Him scheming in the background is fine. Helen's passive whinyness should improve now. I don't mind a fight.

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 03/04/2016 22:58

feed I no longer care what happens next

and do not do anything silly, like go to work or anything that limits your Wi-Fi access

I found the Kirsty thing confusing ... It didn't make sense because it didn't make sense.

Have you never watched any detective series on TV, where detective/Helen explains to us stupid sidekick/Kirsty whats going on? It was that.

Vango · 03/04/2016 23:03

On a lighter note, I think George stole the money (the Easter Egg was discounted before Easter.....really?) and Josh's automatic doors caused the fire in the hen house. I don't think I can take any more drama than that right now.

LyndaNotLinda · 03/04/2016 23:08

.

FeedMyFaceWithJaffaCakes · 03/04/2016 23:10

I was really hoping Kirsty had stayed outside, why in the name of all that is holy would you leave your friend in her house when she's going to tell her abusive husband she's leaving him?!

echt · 03/04/2016 23:10

I had rather hoped Rob would get a pan of creme anglaise in his face, but there you go.

Did anyone else notice the Eagles' song "Lying Eyes" in the background? Cheesy or what?

Agree he's probably not dead, but hope the SW avoid a "Hallowe'en"-style unkillable villain who rises from the ashes to pursue Helen round the kitchen.

enochroot · 03/04/2016 23:12

Brilliant title!

Stealthtoast · 03/04/2016 23:13

Thank you Smalllegs
That's very helpful

BoreOfWhabylon · 03/04/2016 23:15

Kirsty and Tess Hellin now on their way to Stonehenge.

Indeed

Keri was preening smugly when someone made the Hardy comparison.

AugustaFinkNottle · 03/04/2016 23:25

Kirsty went round because Helen asked her to, I think. She only had the pie with her because Fallon thought she'd like it.

SmallLets, I don't think Rob ever had the shower, did he? I think he changed his mind after finding the suitcase.

I would hope Kirsty didn't go far, she must have heard Rob shouting at Helen when he found the case.

kesie123 · 03/04/2016 23:25

De-lurking too. Such a disappointing episode after some good work in highlighting EA to the public - I left a 'Rob' 10 years ago and have found it helpful to direct friends/family to listen to the storyline to understand a bit what we went through. Totally realistic that she would snap when he attacked Henry but ludicrous that she would cook dinner and tell him she was leaving. Am furious they've done this.

Gruach · 03/04/2016 23:35

JaffaCakes If anyone did know what was going to happen next I hope they would not be writing about it on this thread. They can carry their inside knowledge over to the Archers Spoilers thread. (Which is possibly the most fun it's possible to have anywhere except here.)

Did anyone else notice the Eagles' song "Lying Eyes" in the background?

Only about 6 billion people. The rest had no wi fi reception.Grin

echt · 03/04/2016 23:37

I think the whole dinner thing, which was silly and unconvincing as a way of Helen telling Knob she's leaving, allowed him to be stupidly demanding (custard) and gas lighting (previous lies about hating tuna bake).

Now I think of it, why did she make something she thought he hated?

PatrickMcGinty · 03/04/2016 23:37

At least one good thing has come out of this steaming pile of shite - a reliable custard recipe.

Thank you Bert. 👍

JessieMcJessie many years ago now, I guess, when there had been a few stabbing deaths and everyone seemed to realise at the same time that some kids were carrying knives. It was somewhere between a moral panic and a justified panic, and was all the news/editorials talked about for ages - every case made headlines* so it seemed like it had exploded into a pointy epidemic. Now the interest has died down and only the occasional case makes the headlines.

  • of teenagers/young people stabbing people, not people stabbing their husbands/wives. That didn't seem to count.
