Helen knows she's not cracking up - Knob is an eggomaniac.

Are we eggshausted with this storyline?

I think it has to be an agricultural emoticon, so a bull works well. Or a pig, just because I like pigs.

DadDadDad · 30/03/2016 12:37

I think we want a smiley that will outlast the Rob / Helen story and still be something that will mean something in relation to TA.

DadDadDad · 30/03/2016 12:40

If you don't like the bull idea, speak up now:

bull (or Bull pub sign)..StarStarStarStarStarStar
cheese (blue)............StarStar
pitchfork................Star
badger...................StarStar
manure...................StarStar
wicker Knob..............Star
scotch egg...............Star
bridge over Am...........Star
sheaf (corn etc).........Star
vampire Rob..............Star
pig......................Star

EBearhug · 30/03/2016 12:40

But if we went for Rob Plarcher, it would imply we're expecting him to be around for years.

I thought about Lakey Hill, but it'depends just look like a green zit.

Or an oak tree.

I agree it should be something agricultural and potentially long-lasting, not just relating to current storyline which might soon be consigned to history.

recyclingbag · 30/03/2016 12:42

Maybe Badger could become shorthand for
Leave The Badger

Hadron21 · 30/03/2016 12:48

How about a bow and arrow?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 30/03/2016 12:53

I think I vote for badger.

Elendon · 30/03/2016 12:54

I don't like the bull emotion, because I think it will used for abusive purposes. Sad

Gruach · 30/03/2016 12:55

Again - what is the emoticon intended to denote?

What would a bull mean?

Gasp0's Plarcher Rob seems a rather brilliant idea. Very relevant to MN and would have currency long after Rob has manipulated himself to the bottom of the sinkhole.

But I hope we'll be given plenty of time to mull it over PresidentOlivia? I daresay quite a few posters are on holiday and unconnected atm.

PseudoBadger · 30/03/2016 12:57

Can we have two please? Vampire Rob and a Bull. Both secret like the Bear

considering the current cull on Badgers, I'm not sure it's a good symbol to use. I love badgers, some farmer friends of mine have a protected setts on their land, though it is a quite unique farm in terms of Topography. Badgers will move, culling is controversial to say the least. As opposed to farmers with expensive livestock who may suffer from TB, thus wiping out profit.

Fink · 30/03/2016 13:04

Have you all seen this? I think there might be a bout of it spreading through MN:

KingscoteStaff · 30/03/2016 13:04

Spreading oak tree, please.

Elendon · 30/03/2016 13:09

Most abusive men look normal, and not at all like a vampire. Isn't it a bit like saying rapists only exist in bushes?

recyclingbag · 30/03/2016 13:11

Elendon you do seem to take things very literally.

redshoeblueshoe · 30/03/2016 13:11

Fink I certainly posted on here recently Go Helen

If you don't like my badger how about bananas

R4 · 30/03/2016 13:13

How about an emoticon to suggest community support and coming-together-ness. It would be quite applicable for Ambridge and MN. It would be nice if it showed continuity, too.
A mini-Lynda might be a bit esoteric for outside the TA threads. What about a mini-Anneka-action-figure?

Gruach · 30/03/2016 13:14

I suggest you get in touch with the Plastic Archers people and let them know they should shut up shop.

Really Elendon I cannot see how you can have derived any pleasure whatsoever from MN or TA when you take every word and image so literally.

Elendon · 30/03/2016 13:18

In what way Recycling have I taken 'things' 'literally'?

the remit is to have an emotion that doesn't just belong to this thread but goes across all the mumsnet topics.

DadDadDad · 30/03/2016 13:18

So, R4, the bull (especially as a pub-sign) could signal exactly that: the heart of TA, a longstanding tradition, a focal point for the community. Appending "-shit" on to the bull would then be an option when we wanted to be more critical.

Gruach · 30/03/2016 13:18

Cum-buy-our sausages perhaps R4? With a little Maurice figure?Grin

Elendon · 30/03/2016 13:21

I do get the rob figure, but don't see the relevance of it being a symbol.

BoreOfWhabylon · 30/03/2016 13:22

Taurus symbol?

PatrickMcGinty · 30/03/2016 13:23

(Creeps out from the shadows)

My vote would be for The Bull, however depicted.

(returns to lurkdom)

BoreOfWhabylon · 30/03/2016 13:24

oooh... CASSEROLE!
