Yes, I think Ruairi's yr 8. Oddly enough his boarding school life; parents' motivation, timescale, holidays and exeats have in general been relatively accurately portrayed. Obviously there was an undercurrent of another agenda but Jenny and Brian's worry that he would be lonely at home seemed perfectly kindly and sincere. They did some research, visited, found somewhere they and he thought he'd be happy - no haste, no stress. And although of late he hasn't been mentioned they did start off with a realistic rhythm of days out and weekend leave etc; everyone took it in their stride with no fuss at all.

I don't know why I'm certain Sasha is 12 ... I'd already married her off to one of Frilly - but I guess Ruairi might be a possibility - though less complicated if Doc Locke becomes the next Mr Pargetter.

VW was there over 20 years? Blimey!

Thanks, Gaspo0de. So she was editor when SOC was storylining, directing etc?

DadDadDad · 09/03/2016 21:12

So if the klaxon is to alert to a Titchener-free episode, I was playing with a possible acronym:

Knob- Less, Arseula eXcluded, On-switch Now!

I was quite relieved when I realised it was a Hell-Rob-Arse-free zone. Last nights left me grabbing the gin. 😡

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 09/03/2016 21:32

Yes, she was. She was the longest serving editor TA has ever had.

DDD: Grin

Stickerrocks · 09/03/2016 21:39

Ruairi was born in Nov 2002, so I have always wondered if I could fix him up with DD who is a few months older. The thought of having Kate in the family put me off though. Sasha could also bring Ben out of the cereal cupboard again.

cheminotte · 09/03/2016 21:40

Thanks for the klaxon. Have listened to the last 2 weeks as omnibus episodes (albeit on LA over a week later) and it was easier as the HelRob episodes were diluted by lovely bits of Ed n Emma, Lillian etc.

R4 · 09/03/2016 22:20

Susan commented tonight on the absence of Helen. So did JD & Lillian. Mention was made of Lynda trying to get her to take part in the pageant.
Wheels are turning. Very slowly.

LocalEditorWiltshire · 09/03/2016 22:29

Gruach I agree. I'm sure Sasha is 12 (same as DD). I believe DocLocke told Lizzie at the ice-skating.

LocalEditorWiltshire · 09/03/2016 22:35

Hope you're right R4

I can barely bring myself to listen since it was decided that Rob couldn't just be a knob, but he was just the product of his evil mummy and awful childhood.

I know a couple of people who had lovely normal parents and childhoods but they still grew up to be terrible people.

Sometimes a knob is just a knob...

Imbroglio · 09/03/2016 23:21

Lizzy and Richard? That'll piss Shula off.

elpth · 09/03/2016 23:39

TA is on in the midst of bath and bedtime so we used to catch up afterwards with the podcast. Now I read on here first to see if it's worth catching and we've pretty much stopped listening due to HelRob (thanks for keeping me up to speed without having to listen).
This afternoon I was doing some baking so put the radio on and caught the last 5 mins of TA. Such uncomfortable listening!! But when Arsula was saying "the best thing you can do is go and put your feet up" I shouted "AND GET ON MN!!!". With always being forced to rest, surely she has plenty of time to find MN. She certainly needs the relationships board!

Gruach · 10/03/2016 05:54

Yes - her thread title would probably be Why do I keep getting everything wrong?

Sad
Gruach · 10/03/2016 07:04

Shambridge!

Ursula - The Birth Plan.

redshoeblueshoe · 10/03/2016 07:13

Grauch Grin thanks for that

Butteredparsnips · 10/03/2016 08:06

I'm getting later to these threads! Loved that sound clip Grauch, especially Ruth. I'm sure there's a job for Eddy in there too, preparing some sort of medieval natural birthing platform.

Also, as a Health Care Professional, I've become quite shouty of late. This is such an opportunity to showcase how HCP can be really quite tuned in to the Robs of the world. I would love to hear a strong female midwife putting him down. Instead its as if Helen has no ongoing support despite her history. Grrrr.

Eastpoint · 10/03/2016 08:21

Gruach Thank you, that was really good.

recyclingbag · 10/03/2016 08:58

Me too parsnips. I keep hoping the midwife will kick in soon, or Fallon and Kirsty need to discuss Helen in front of Harrison.

recyclingbag · 10/03/2016 08:59

Eastenders or not, surely it can't end with Helen smashing him in the face with an iron - however tempting.

BertrandRussell · 10/03/2016 09:08

Exactly how pregnant is Helen? I've lost count.......

BertrandRussell · 10/03/2016 09:08

And where is Amy?

NotdeadyetBOING · 10/03/2016 09:12

Brilliant, Gruach, many thanks.
Was it the actual actresses? If not - some astonishingly impressive impersonators!

ArgyMargy · 10/03/2016 09:18

Excellent Gruach - the characters sound more like themselves than the real ones!! Confused

DadDadDad · 10/03/2016 09:32

Based on GADD, Helen is now 30 weeks pregnant. My DS was born at 30 weeks, so I'm ready for anything to happen...

Imbroglio · 10/03/2016 10:24

My bet is on Easter weekend
