Not long until our thread's 3 year birthday!

OP posts:
Imbroglio · 25/02/2016 19:33

Rob's reaction when Tony said there would be a job for Jonny on the farm - immediately jumping in to shed doubt on there being enough money. As if employing Jonny on the FARM would be his decision.... Bastard.

outputgap · 25/02/2016 19:37

Whhaatt? I have missed a few episodes. Home birth? The fuck?

If Pat, Tony, Tom and that old bint with all the money don't kick off now, I will crush my DAB radio under a hundredweight of pastured fecking eggs.

spiker · 25/02/2016 19:39

Surely we are edging towards open hostility between tom and knob. Knob will be furious that Tom presumed to dash after Hellin.

choccyp1g · 25/02/2016 19:40

As if Johnny wants to work in the SHOP, no no no, he wants to be a farmer innit?

FinestGrundyTurkey · 25/02/2016 19:41

thanks, bigbuttons Thanks - it was a bit sad at the time, & breastfeeding was a non-starter, but they're all lovely and that's the main thing Smile

(37 weeks in Hungary is a bit shocking!)

was anybody else surprised that Rob let Tom go after Helen, without interfering?

PresidentOliviaMumsnet · 25/02/2016 19:41

5 is VERY young for boarding school
The home birth thing is utterly ridiculous
but it does sound as though maybe Tom realises something is up?
Is the memory loss thing still Rob - do you think he moved the scan photo??

tibbawyrots · 25/02/2016 19:43

That bit with Tom actually made me cry. He definitely knows all is not well chez Hell.

PresidentOliviaMumsnet · 25/02/2016 19:43

@FinestGrundyTurkey

was anybody else surprised that Rob let Tom go after Helen, without interfering?

Yes good point.

PresidentOliviaMumsnet · 25/02/2016 19:43

I'm all caught up now, can you tell?!? Grin
Need to go and read the whole other thread from the bits I missed, SO much chat.

tibbawyrots · 25/02/2016 19:44

Yes, Rob moved the scan photo.

spiker · 25/02/2016 19:45

All of hellin's family was neatly given a reason in that episode to be pissed off with Knob and to start sounding off to each other:

Patbot - home birth idea is obviously knob and knobula - see parroting Hellin
Tony - that crack about not enough money to employ Johnny on the farm - fuck all to do with knob
Tom - scotch egg wars ramping up. Plus obvious suspicion that Knob is, in fact, a knob.

So come on SWs, hurry up!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 25/02/2016 19:47

Oh yes, and the disdain dripping from Rob when he attempted to suggest that any food Clarrie produced was bound to be a disaster. Raging snob as well as everything else. I hate him. Angry

BumpPower · 25/02/2016 19:51

Could Reb's plan not been to sideline hellin more and more. She is upsetting henwee causing him to wet the bed, forgetful etc. Is this part of a king rob will have baby - dear arseula can have henwee - and hellin is sectioned plan?

Imbroglio · 25/02/2016 19:56

I think we need a special emoticon for Rob Rage

R4 · 25/02/2016 19:57

Helen is a piece of work.
It was supposed to be a lovely evening celebrating Tom's birthday and Johhny's success in gaining Level 2.
But Helen has to spoil it and make it all about her, despite denying - to everyone who asks - that there is a problem.

Imbroglio · 25/02/2016 20:06

I bet rob tries to keep Helen away from tom from now on. He'll be lying about him to Helen as well.

Duckdeamon · 25/02/2016 20:09

Tom needs to redeem himself from past misdeeds and sausage obsession by helping his sister!

Duckdeamon · 25/02/2016 20:10

Helen, the victim of horrible domestic abuse, and unwell, is a "piece of work"? Confused

PresidentOliviaMumsnet · 25/02/2016 20:10

@Imbroglio

I think we need a special emoticon for Rob Rage

lol, what would it look like? a big red angry dick?Grin

BoreOfWhabylon · 25/02/2016 20:21

Helen has always been a piece of work.

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 25/02/2016 20:25

I am kind of with r4 I did think Helen was being a bit me, me, me. It seems to be the only bit of her original personality that remains.

But Tom is clearly on to knob. I don't think Knob coukd afgord to make a scene in front of everyone about Tom going after her to talk about her brother whom Knob never even met.

spiker · 25/02/2016 20:45

Hmm, maybe Knob will tell Hellin off for making a fuss and spoiling it for everyone.

GruntledOne · 25/02/2016 21:08

Go for it, Olivia! Surely MNHQ realise that we need that emoticon!

BYOSnowman · 25/02/2016 21:11

There's no point being president if you can't do a knob emoticon

AnnieNoMouse · 25/02/2016 21:13

I've given up caring about the reasonableness or veracity of the SL because since Ursula's unveiling as the evil one last Friday the shark has for me been well and truly jumped. In fact, not so much one shark as a whole bloody shoal of them. Angry

However a BOOP for Johny's inclusion tonight; I hope his stay in TA outlive's Rob's stay.

One thing that has been cropping up in a lot of posts in recent threads is the suggestion that Helen will be sectioned and Rob will use that to show she is an unfit mother and get his hands fully on her children. Thankfully it is not that easy to get sectioned - and certainly not at the behest of a spouse. In fact it's pretty difficult to get a place on a mental health ward these days as a voluntary patient. And suffering mental illness is not in itself a reason to remove a child - the concept of custody hasn't existed since the 1990's.
