Lovely mad as hatters lovely episode.

Fantastic to hear Feebs' support network actually supporting her in making (for many 17 year olds) a difficult decision.

Could Hayley return?

Gruach · 14/01/2016 14:23

Not if she runs into the shed to rescue an animal ...

BYOSnowman · 14/01/2016 14:46

Do we know joe is safe? He didn't run in to rescue the ferrets or bartleby did he?

enochroot · 14/01/2016 16:15

We were lulled into a false sense of security when no disaster occurred on the 65th anniversary.
I hope it's not Joe.

Putthetulipsthere · 14/01/2016 16:35

Heard last night's episode at lunchtime, with no DP or DP around to interrupt😀

Lovely, quirky story about the Wassail.

Relieved that Phoebe is back on track.

Just hoping that Kirsty may have deactivated Pat - Bot's trance at last.

Dumdedumdedum · 14/01/2016 17:20

I'm afraid I'm agreeing with enochroot about the false sense of security, though if it has to happen, I would prefer it to be Joe than any of the "young" ones.
I really enjoyed last night's episode, too, I might come back to listening regularly (except for Titchyknob and Hellbent) this year. Hayley and Roy together were great, and I thought there was definitely some inkling they might get back together (but am worried this might have been done just in order to kill Hayley off); Phoebe did herself proud and I do hope Kirsty pursues her sense that something's wrong.
Was that Eddy's voice singing at the beginning of the Wassailing? I thought at first it was Alan Franks, but decided the vicar wouldn't be participating in a pagan ritual Grin Am still having a terrible time telling one character's voice from another and the scripts don't help, what with the personality transplants which have been going on at the same time Smile

Stickerrocks · 14/01/2016 17:24

I hadn't realised that the original actor playing Joe died on the way to the studio to record an episode.

BertrandRussell · 14/01/2016 17:28

I though it was Alan singing too. I though "Blimey- that's a bit ecumenical even for the CofE!

enochroot · 14/01/2016 17:35

I hope I'm wrong!
It might be something good - Roy saves the ferrets and Hayley falls into his arms in relief.

CuttedUpPear · 14/01/2016 17:47

It was definitely Alan singing.
SWs proving his broad-church stance on things rurally pagan.

CuttedUpPear · 14/01/2016 17:49

Can someone remind me please, what is Kirsty and Roy's previous relationship before now?
Is there a likelihood of them getting it on? Envy bleurgh

BitOutOfPractice · 14/01/2016 17:54

They were just friends as Kirsty was engaged to Roy's BFF (Tom)

I've wondered here too if they might become an item. In fact does Hayley think they are - just from her "we've both moved on now" comment? I was a bit worried she thought K & R were in a relationship

GypsyFl0ss · 14/01/2016 18:01

I'm worried that Hayley commented on the potential for phoebe's dress to catch fire. Now, I'm not really fussed if she gets to Oxford but I will be mightily pissed off if the SW decide to thwart her ambitions by having her serious injured or deaded in this fire.

Gruach · 14/01/2016 18:01

Hayley can't think that at the moment BOOP because the SWs made Kirsty tell her that "it's not like that - I'm just renting a room."

It is an odd complication to create if Kirsty and Roy are not destined to become one. (And I hope they don't.) Is it intended to make Tom jealous?

Gruach · 14/01/2016 18:04

Gypsy I don't recall where each person was - but perhaps horrible Alex might have to rescue Phoebe and will suddenly realise the error of his ways?

BYOSnowman · 14/01/2016 18:16

I would rather phoebe rescue Alex! Girl power!!

Whatever happened to Roy's depression and Tom being there for him?

BitOutOfPractice · 14/01/2016 18:18

Phew Gruach! I missed that and I'm very relieved.

ApplesinmyPocket · 14/01/2016 18:25

When the Archers (and this thread) crosses over into Real Life: this morning not only did Tesco send a second van out to me just to deliver one bag of missing items but they sent £17 worth of meat to replace £6 worth.

As I unpacked it, the thought popped into my head - "That's a BOOP point for Tesco all right!"

They're beginning to sow seeds of doubt about Rob in Tom's direction - hurrah!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 14/01/2016 20:10

Phew! Nobody dead. Good to hear Joe, who seems to be immortal.

enochroot · 14/01/2016 20:15

I couldn't hear it properly. Has Rob gone to the Echo about how Charlie's been running Berrow Farm?

Gruach · 14/01/2016 20:22

Didn't Rob mention having spoken to a reporter about Berrow Farm several days /a couple of weeks ago? He seemed to imply to Helen that it was pretty much accidental and his hand was forced but what could he do ...

Gruach · 14/01/2016 20:26

(Unless I dreamt thatConfused.)

enochroot · 14/01/2016 20:30

I hope Justin sues his pants off.

redshoeblueshoe · 14/01/2016 20:46

Grauch I don't remember that that doesn't mean it didn't happen Enoch- I hope so too
