So will the jersey cows have milk that has better butterfat/protein?

Gruach · 04/01/2016 00:05

Slimmingcrackers here's something for you - and everyone else:

Character appearance statistics for 2015 From the Dumteedum site.

Gruach · 04/01/2016 00:17

(You may be right CUP but it would just be - tidier. And no more undignified tussles over the correct place for posting.)

CuttedUpPear · 04/01/2016 00:19

Yes the topic should just be renamed The Archers (etc)

elpth · 04/01/2016 03:31

As someone who has lurked since the very beginning (new year's resolution: don't just lurk, post!), I think Pseudo should get the 40000th post. In all likelihood what will probably happen instead is someone will accidentally take it (probably complaining about the unrealistic nature of a story line!).
I really liked the anniversary episode with the chat of cows and Ruth's old personality returning. I didn't like the ridiculous drama of the 60th anniversary and am glad they went for something different that also signposts less melodrama to come from Brookfield at least. Can't wait for Knob's eventual comeuppance!

BitOutOfPractice · 04/01/2016 07:35

Grauch thank you for that link. I loved it.

Only 7 Jazzers in the whole of 2015!

AnnieNoMouse · 04/01/2016 08:16

Could there be a prize for the 40,000th post?
I suggest some Borsetshire Blue, a village shop tabard (with personalised but slightly misspelled name plate); and a slightly used 2016 calendar (with attempts to remove October's star already started).

Slimmingcrackers · 04/01/2016 08:24

Thanks very much for the link Gruach which certainly bears out your theory! You've got to feel sorry for the actors who are out of the to 10 - can't be many rich pickings there... . And surprised to see Susan at 46 behind Charlie's 62 - she seems to appear almost every day - must be the distinctive voice ... !

Surely a bit much to say Freddy and Lily are missing hwr (along with Ruari and Coriander). I am sure they have all been mentioned in passing recently!

Brings joy to the heart that someone would go to the troubling of compiling such a list though Grin

Slimmingcrackers · 04/01/2016 08:25

out of the top 10

LillianGish · 04/01/2016 10:03

Brings joy to the heart that someone would go to the troubling of compiling such a list though just the sort of task our own DDD would undertake on behalf of this thread.

Dipankrispaneven · 04/01/2016 10:27

There's something wrong with a world where Henwee has had more appearances than Clarrie.

FinestGrundyTurkey · 04/01/2016 10:41

This just turned up on my FB memories page from 2011 - an alternative ending for Nigel GrinSad

R4 · 04/01/2016 11:26

How lovely to hear Nigel again!

CuttedUpPear · 04/01/2016 11:49

Loved that alternative ending!

toldmywrath · 04/01/2016 11:50

Annie Now I wouldn't mind the Village shop tabard (which is Paisley) to go with my own tabard collection. Blush You can't seem to get Paisley ones for love nor money.

Gruach · 04/01/2016 11:53

Didn't I tell you that David and Pip are a couple?Grin The appearance statistics confirm it.

Certainly explains why so much of last year made depressing listening. David for instance, in his unremittingly dull mood, scarcely spoke to anyone outside the top 15 characters and I'm not sure he was living on the same continent as anyone from about 48 down. They really need to mix things up a bit - write conversations and interactions between less expected characters and bring some colour back to episodes.

Tut!

EBearhug · 04/01/2016 11:57

Lily & Freddie have definitely been mentioned (revising or not for their GCSES mocks) - but I'm not sure I remember them speaking since around Loxfest, which was 2014.

Gruach · 04/01/2016 11:58

(Apart from his sisters and the brethren obviously ...)

Dipankrispaneven · 04/01/2016 13:00

We did have Freddie stropping around about his mother and Roy for a short time after Loxfest, IIRC. Lily however seemed to have no views on her mother's activities, or at least none that she was prepared to articulate.

AnnieNoMouse · 04/01/2016 14:46

Lily only articulates through her painting, and messaging online undesirables. Was Freddy actually heard being unhappy about his mother's crimplene liaison or was mimed? And wasn't there some funny business with him and a cigarette?

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 04/01/2016 15:16

I think Freddy did have a brief moan where he also said something like and Lily agrees with me.

Dipankrispaneven · 04/01/2016 16:54

Freddy had a short period of full-on teenage strops and undesirable behaviour in 2014 after discovering what his mother was up to, but his teen angst was totally resolved when she and Roy split up. Lily stayed holed up in her room, presumably producing angst-ridden artistic masterpieces.

enochroot · 04/01/2016 17:02

IIRC Freddie said something very scathing about Roy. I wish I could remember what but I don't think he has spoken since. Lily has been dumb-struck throughout.
Perhaps they are being given new actors now at drama school!

enochroot · 04/01/2016 17:04

I think Freddie was quoting Lily's opinion but we didn't hear it from the horse's mouth, as it were.

BitOutOfPractice · 04/01/2016 18:20

Freddie got stoned at lox fest didn't he? On dope provided by...who the bugger was it? Someone's dad. He had his collar felt by pc plot
