Good news!

But how many times can I kill Rob?

GypsyFl0ss · 30/12/2015 19:13

So has Rob been siphoning off money from Berrow? And now he's busy phoning and altering Helen's orders. The shit.

GypsyFl0ss · 30/12/2015 19:15

He doesn't want Ian, he's just stirring 'cos he wants a mega showdown between Helen and Ian to completely sever their friendship.

EsmesBees · 30/12/2015 19:16

I'm sure I remember a scene when Helen was expecting the first time where she announced to Pat she'd picked Henry for a boy and Megan for a girl. Is this another Helen lie or have the SW forgotten?

And yes I think Rob did sound pretty set against Ian as Godfather last we heard.

MeolsCop · 30/12/2015 19:19

8/10 and my prize is an evening with Jim. Erm, I might be busy.....

God, all this MY SON business is boakworthy. He altered the fruit order, obvs.

Stickerrocks · 30/12/2015 19:20

Lorek there's room in the pig arks if you want to join those who have disappointed Rob with our woeful lack of memory

KateMossIsMyQueen · 30/12/2015 19:23

Delurking too, starting to think robs putting some sleeping tablets in Helens tea, and that's why she slept through present opening. But surely he wouldn't want to do anything to hurt his pfb?!

Guess her tiredness could be not eating / carrying baby Damian. I wish they could hurry up with it, but I'm dreading how it will escalate, it's already painful to hear. Great that EA is getting some airtime though

enochroot · 30/12/2015 19:24

He's banking on Ian not speaking to Helen for a good long while and meanwhile he'll persuade her that someone else is more suitable. He'll go upmarket and ask Brian or maybe even have the nerve to ask Justin. Justin Titchener has a ring to it.

Helen has access to a computer for doing orders so she can check that order and see if it was tampered with.

Presumably all that bank account business means that Helen has kept an account of her own and her salary has been going into it. No longer though.

enochroot · 30/12/2015 19:33

Oh yes, he made her think the fruit order 'mistake' would be kept quiet without the rest of the family knowing but he had already pointed it out to Tom and put the blame firmly on Helen.
He does know what he's doing.

Gruach · 30/12/2015 19:42

Really wish they could spread the excitement more evenly. Justin's news is major - but oddly mixed in with Phoebe and the devil formerly known as a mega-dairy-manager.

Cannot fathom how the Berrow thing will impact the rest of the village.

And will we now never hear from Stefan?

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 30/12/2015 19:57

Yy to Rob not thinkinh he is evil.
He thinks he is right.
And he is very entitled.
He also sees most people as beneath him and the more he can control other people the more superior and right he feels.

No he didn't want Ian for gf. That is why he told Ian about Adam.

What is really infuriating is that H knows R spoke to Ian. Rob knows Ian knows. And Ian knows Helen knows. So why doesn't Hellin just close the loop and say, no Rob funnily enough I haven't spoken to Ian lately. Not since you told him about Adam after I told you in confidence. you twat

I don'tthink it is plausible that she would say nothing.

LyndaNotLinda · 30/12/2015 20:01

YeOldeTrout - of course Knob knows what he's doing! He hid the chequebook. He changed the fruit order. He's making her and everyone else think she's fragile and an unfit mother. I'm now even more convinced that he's going to leave Helen and take Julian with him. If she fights him, he will have lots of 'evidence' that she's unstable. And I bet you all a whole Borsetshire Blue that he won't let her breastfeed.

I got 7/10 on the quiz but it was mostly guesswork.

I'm glad Berrow is going although it doesn't seem very likely to me

jellycake · 30/12/2015 20:02

Hellin doesn't know that Rob told Ian. He didn't say that Rob told him, in fact he only said that he knew she knew and hadn't told him Hmm

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 30/12/2015 20:10

Oh and my ex. I just told him to leave and then refused to have him back. He had flounced so many times before he thought I'd take him back if just apologised and then explained why it was my fault reallyHmm part of his FA was insisting I kept my own house where I paid all the bills and where the dcs lived making it possible for him to walk away anytime he couldn't be arsed to participate. (I ended up in that ridiculous situation through a complex web of manipulation and broken promises but it worked on my favour in the end)

And he does it because it works for him. By being abusive he gets out of doing much childcare, housework or paying for things so it is all pig in shit for him. Then when he gets rumbled and binned he just moves on to the next one. He usually has one lined up anyway. (Very much like Rob Jess/Helen). He is a kind of parasite (as Rob is with Helen's family/business/money).

I am just one in a long line of women who have been on the receiving end of his anger mismanagement.

But as someone pointed out "you wouldn't want to be him though. He's miserable". And this is in fact true. Underneath it all he is really insecure. He has no self control and is the architect of his own misfortune and he tries to make up for it by controlling and putting other people down. Blaming others stops him from having to blame himself.

As Lundy says (paraphrase) "an abusive man looks on the mirror sees his face is dirty and tries to clean the mirror".

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 30/12/2015 20:13

jelly dam it. I thought he had said Rob said you knew. Even so she could have said he has found out I saw C and A kissing. (Seeing as she knows R knows). Funny that as I only told you....and Adam.

You'd also think she'd have spoken to Adam by now.

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 30/12/2015 20:15

Lynda ah hut he hid the cheque book because he had to. He lied because he had to. And he convinc3d H to gelieve him because she has to gelieve it is her not him.
I.e. in his eyes necessary not evil.
The fruit order....well H shouldn't be doing the ordering anyway. Not in her condition. So it is for her own good.

And so on.

Joskar · 30/12/2015 20:32

6/10 I'll take that.

Has Knob been stealing from Berrow? Is this one of the reasons for the massive losses? Surely Charlie would have been concerned about such an enormous amount of money? But he can't have nicked a million quid.

I'm unclear why Justin is after telling Brine. What's he supposed to do?

YeOldeTrout · 30/12/2015 20:33

Didn't Ian say to H "You knew, told Rob but not me..." someone want to Listen-Again, Ian definitely used Rob's name, anyway.

Rob knows he's doing X things to H but (I reckon) he doesn't realise he's wrong to do it. SmallLegs has it right. Rob thinks he's "right".

Since the other personalities make no sense (robo-Pat, shrugs-Tom, glutton-for-punishment-Kirsty, Roy & Elizabeth on-stage-couple with Feebs & Freddy not going mental about it) I don't know what is supposed to be going thru H's head. Denial?

Shouldn't Lily be Oxford bound, come to think of it? She's got the ambition for it.

jellycake · 30/12/2015 20:41

Ok just quickly listened again. Conversation was along the lines of 'You knew and you didn't tell me. Yadda Yadda Yadda....even Rob knew and you didn't tell me.'

enochroot · 30/12/2015 20:45

Couldn't hear properly this evening. Did the scan show it's a boy and everything tickety-boo?

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 30/12/2015 20:50

Yup and enormous boy child who in Rob's opinion looks like a Dominic or a Julian.

echt · 30/12/2015 20:51

8/10!!

And I'm the one who's is always asking DH who's related to to what/who/whom.

I've not listened to Wednesday's ep yet; waiting for breakfast.

Gruach · 30/12/2015 20:52

Lily? Nah. She has Exeter (Bristol / Durham / StAndrews) written all over her. (Assuming those places retain the reputation they had 30years ago Xmas BlushXmas Grin )

I was too distracted by all the other stuff to concentrate properly on Justin's conversation - but I'd guess he's telling Brian because he anticipates carnage at the next BL board meeting and wants someone on his side/ to field the vituperative retributions. Or (and I like this more) because he's relying on Brian telling Jenny and Jenny being indiscreet so that the news filters out while he himself is safely on another continent.

PseudoBadger · 30/12/2015 21:11

9/10!!!

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 30/12/2015 21:20

Plus he also needs someone to actually do the redundancies. Wonder who he has in mind?

Shouldn't have too much effect on Ambridge though as the only Berrow workers they mingled with were Charlie and Rob. Will it have any effect on the accomodation in the local area? And it might affect Ed.
